Yeah all in violation of AEM's pricing policy, and will get their account suspended. AEM passed a VERY stringent MAP policy back in March.

You can find them on eBay shipped for about $230. Some VW store has them insanely cheap and ships within 2-3 days.

EVEN EBAY is being regulated by AEM. I may be able to post a copy of part of the Unilateral pricing agreement.

It basically boils down to whomever uses the words "AEM" in any product description is regulated by their pricing.

there's some used on classified, i would get them and save tons of money.. but yeah a lil risk knowing that they are used, but the only thing I would be concerned about is the wideband sensor since its a wear & tear part

I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just saying it's possible to get them even cheaper than stores on here. .

Not for the company when it happens. 1st offense is slap on the hand and told to comply. This places them on a watched list. 2nd time leads to account suspension for 30 days. 3rd time leads to a 6 month Do-Not-Sell status from AEM and all of it's dealers. Termination can occur at any time at the discresction of AEM.

Yup! Not to mention everyone is raising their prices like Volk, Tein, HKS, etc...

Now with AEM's strict pricing..

Bah!

The purpose of MAP pricing is to protect product value. A company doesn't want "cheap" or "lower class" to be associated with their products so MAP is set and enforced.

Manufactures also will say that MAP pricing helps keep distributors and retailers happy because no one is undercutting the next guy.

However, MAP pricing sucks for the end user. We're paying a nice premium (your retailer's gross profit) for the product.. so naturally we'll try and find people who violate MAP policies.

Oh that still affects pricing. The company can't keep $xx MAP if there is not much demand of an oversupply.

Manufactures change their pricing in relation to market fluxuations all the time. And when that happens, distributors get price protected, and so does the retailer. (or atleast they should have included that in their contract.)

So nobody really gave any kind of review on the AEM tru-boost gauge...
I'm gonna do some research on it , but i also like how Defi gauges look,
so so far i'm thinking about
AEM UEGO
AEM tru-boost
Defi oil pressure

All of them in red.

If you see a Defi sytle gauge next to an AEM gauge, you will wonder wtf people are thinking when they pick the AEM gauges. My Prosports look infinitely better than the UEGO.

I have the AEM Tru boost.

Ill try to get a review for it soon... meaning next month? Cars in body shop. But the gauge is great, accurate, pretty... the programming of it is good, you dont need a laptop to do it, but it can be confusing. Also you dont adjust the boost controller by PSI it goes by duty cycles. (which i still dont understand)

I'll write up more about it in the future.

I went to prosport website and all of their gauges are sooo cheap for some reason, for example Oil Pressure gauge do you have to aslo get something else ? ( perhaps pressure sensor ? ) or its the total package ?

P.S. Ohh and by the way , you also have AEM UEGO why did you get it if you dont like the layout so much ?

I also looked at innovative wideband , its nice and everything but that thing is like $400!!

I have Prosport Boost and Oil Pressure. The only reason I got the UEGO, is because it's half the price of all the other widebands on the market. When Prosport comes out with their wideband, I will be selling the UEGO in a heartbeat.

The prices for the Prosports are the prices you pay. It includes the gauge, wiring, sensor, mount, hood, etc. I've had 0 issues with them and neither has my friend, so IMO, Defi are overpriced.
