hard start?.

Default hard start?.

Does anyone ever notice a hard start when startin your tc? Sometimes it'll take a few seconds to turn over... and there isnt a pattern when it does or doesnt do it...ive brought it to the dealer 3 times and they keep tellin me the same garbage.... that scions have a hard start....

This topic has been discussed a few times. Generally, yes, it happens to the tC.

I personally solved it by switching brands of gas until I find one that doesn't cause this.

when ur car takes long to start and its cranking thats good because you know that ur engine is sucking up all the oil to get it started

I don't buy the "hard start generally happens on a tC."

Hard starting can happen for a LOT of different reasons..so it makes it difficult to diagnose.
I found this was happening sporadically after being left a while in warm weather. First crank might be exteneded, then all was good in the world. And sometimes priming the pump helps. Anyway, I am workin on a list now of things to check..as it gets warmer here I will note what works/doesn't work.

First thing I did was check and change the oil (I was a little low at the time)
Then I added a fuel system cleaner on the last tank. It could just be a little debris somewhere on the fiter or other part of the system.

I didn't say it happens because she bought a tC. I mean, yes, it does happen on a tC.
