from what zpi said .....the BOV that comes w/ the supercharger is leaking almost all the time and you are losing boost. ....with that statement.... you will be gaining by swaping it out. And no you wont hear that swoosh sound but it should increase the performance. I am still looking for a center pod to mount my gauges. If anybody has one let me know cause im interested in what you have.

I know this post if really old but i came across it because im trying to get some info and advice and opinions. Ive been planning on changing my adapter valve for my bpv but been having trouble with the recirculating hose. this is currently what i have...

Left valve: recirculating bpv
right valve: atmoshpheric bov
Box: apr diverter valve

ive been trying to put the recirculating bpv on my car but the hose is stopping and creates problems like its too long or too small...

Kinda confused lol. If its to long cut it or buy a new hose the right size?? Are you trying to blow off or recirculate.

I used a bov that fit in the stock piping, it was very similar to the image below. The car ran fine and it made a great sound. It was an adjustable one, i just loosened it up and watched the boost gauge, kept increasing sprint pressure until the boost was stable at 9.5 psi

lol i wish it was that easy...
the hose that comes off the recirculating port on the s/c is 3/4".
the recirculating port on the bpv i have is an 1". i gotta find stainless steel adapters to connect the hoses. i dont think they make a stainless steel pipe that goes from 3/4" to 1".

well i was gonna do that too with a bov because i was gonna plug the recirculating hose and change the adapter for the bov.
from what i was told by a few guys at my work that are force induct is that the stock piping is causing me to lose boost. thats why i wanted to change.
how i figure that i am loosing boost is by squeezing my stock adapter pipe. it expanded so much every time i hit boost till the point that i can touch fingers when i squeeze it. sooner or later its gonna blow right off.

oh yeah and a quick question, does have a fully atmospheric bov affect your car every time you shift?

from what ive heard is that if its too rich your car will stall and that if you meet a certain amount of measured air, your car can fall flat on its face.

Right behind the weapon r intake I t off over there. You can do it near the bov/bpv but idk how good that is.. I paid 100 used for the bov and running great you can use a greddy rs bov also but it has to sit on a pipe like mine they sell them on eBay And does that gold wrap work good where do I get that I was thinking of wrapping mine

do you have a pic of it cause i am not too sure.. lol
thats not bad, i just purchased mine today lol
yeah the gold wrap actually works, i personally like it because it prevents the heat from messing up the bearings and the shaft..

oh ok, i see it now... no actually im trying to get a wideband because this was my first time actually buying a a/f ratio gauge so my friend said just get any but comes to find out i need a wideband instead of a narrowband.
did you connect your wideband yet? hows the reading on your boost gauge with that connection?
i read on a forum that we would get the best readings from the brake booster vacuum line (but not to sure yet)

I'm installing the bung for AFR today. And the readings are good on my boost gauge it reads the full 9psi.. But driving normal speed the neddle on the gauge kinda shakes a little but could just be my gauge. Its old lol

the place that you hooked up the vacuum line for the gauge seems to be upside down compare to mine or i am just not being able to find it lol
did you know that if your needle shakes that mean there is a chance of a vacuum leak some where. i happened to me several times.
the first time it happen was because of the connection to my gauge there was a leak and the second time it was the connection off of my
T... my vacuum line split causing my needle to jump and shake at normal driving....

oh yeah, for the T invest in a brass T, it tends to work a lot better and dont get all messed up like the plastic ones
and the third time was because my T was too big causing my needle to to go crazy
