whats the approximate difference in power between mandrel bent and non-mandrel bent exhaust systems ?

the reason why i'm asking is because i have custom 3 inch exhaust with magnaflow muffler and i absolutely love the sound of it, but its not mandrel bent because when i was making it there was not a single place in San Angelo, TX that is able to mandrel bent pipes so i had to use regular bender.

lol when its mandrel bent the bent parts of the pipe is the same size as the pipe. when its not mandrel bent the bends look wrinkled and there smaller then the actual size of the pipe because of the bend. i dunno if that makes any sense lol.

Every custom exhaust I have seen on a tC, has been garbage especially 3" ones where a shop tries their best to go over the subframe lol, and I have seen a lot of tC's.

depends on the exhaust shop. where b_real (ROB) had his exhaust made looks amazing and well worth the 300/400 bucks he spent. thats where i am gonna do mines at also.

Im sure some are better than others. It's just that no custom exhaust will have the time invested to fitand perform better than a production piece. The quality of parts used on a $400 exhaust cannot compare either. $400 would not even cover the labor to have a nice exhaust made. If it is mild steel with one flange, no flex section, one muffler, cheap tip and give the guy who is making the exhaust a 6 pack,,,, yea I can see $400 .

Making one doesnt mean it has to look like crap or be bad quality.

above is a perfect exaple. I muffler shop does not have time to aquire the proper degree bends with proper radius. So they often take sections and do multiple pie cuts as a shortcut. A production piece would not look like that.
