understandable man . Exhaust welds look good though, and I can see a lot of time was invested. A lot of people do not realize the time it takes, the time you put into that exhaust if I were to guess would be 6-10 hours???? So for a regullar customer, the labor alone would be 500-900 about. Plus the cost of parts (all look SS).

For somebody who can do their own exhaust, sure you can get nice parts and do it yourself, it ends up cheaper. For the rest, well there are now 3 companies who have already done the hard work.

You are not understanding what I am trying to say my friend, A custom exhaust can be nice but it won't be $400.

The ones that do go custom, do so because they are trying to save $$$. You get what you paid for.

For people like Bdis3, he can get all the components and do it himself, that is different.

Heck I have a custom exhaust, I made it. But it was because I had no choice, who makes a 3" exhaust for an xA?

 

Going on record saying I did not weld my exhaust. My skills aren't there yet. Good friend Dan I used to work with at a shop did it. Hes a G with the tig

marcelo i think miami muffler charged rob more then 300-400 i think... i could be wrong.. but miami muffler is good.. ive been going to them for years

 

i'm pretty sure it was 400 and some change. and it looks flawless. so again custom route. i can bet my life that i put on ptuning exhaust and a custom 3" mandrel bend exhaust and it will probably 1-2whp difference. but hey to there own. i know what route i am going and everyone has there own choices. so far my choices have been good.

 

The PTuning version 2 looks sweet but the price tag can definitely turn some away. If you can swing it, go for it. If not, a custom setup can be a little cheaper but it's going to take some research and patience to find a place that'll do one right.

 

where is the descendant exhaust at? i want to see some pics of it!!! im trying to get a full 3" before i turn up the boost and get a retune

 

IMO a 3" crush-bent exhaust would still flow roughly as well as a mandrel-bent 2.5" exhaust which is already fine for < 300whp. Personally I'm gonna run a custom mandrel-bent 2.5" exhaust since I couldn't fit a 3" DP with my manifold and 3" exhaust usually hits on something, somewhere. OTOH, I have an XB2 so it's really not the same.

weird, was when i first opened it.

 

$400 for mandrel bent S-pipe and exhaust.

I provided the resonator, muffler, and tip.

 

Was it worth it? And does it hit anything? Worth every dollar right?
