Hey guys, I'm a noob here at this site. Just got my first TC about a month ago and it's also my first manual ever. About two weeks ago, I noticed white smoke coming out from my exhaust each time a shift to a different gear. and it's been doing it ever since, especially in the morning. (I give the car about a 1 minute warmup before I drive) Everything is still stock, haven't done anything to engine yet. My coolant level hasn't dropped so I don't think that it's leaking. The white smoke lingers for about a five seconds before dissipating, any help?

The scion manager at the dealer where I got the car is a freaken ______ so I don't really want to go there. But if I have to I will, I'm just hoping to fix it myself.

 

Is it cold in your area in the mornings? or does it happen when the car is warm and the outside temp is warm as well?

 

Well, Texas's been having some weird weather lately. It was cold today. but even then, my temp gauge reads a little below the halfway mark which is normal for any car once its warmed up. Yet smoke still comes out. Then after about 20 minutes of driving then the smoke stops. This is what happened to me this morning. this is seriously bothering me

 

Is the car still under warranty? If it is take it back to the dealer and have them figure it out. or maybe someone else will know more about that problem

 

take a vid of it, load it to photobucket and post it here...Iv had guys freak out before after they turbocharged their tc and then get paranoid something is messed up so the first cold snap i get calls for peeps wanting me to check it out. if its lingering around for that long on a warm day then thats deff bad news but as cold as its been it could just be steam
