Default Highest PSI on stock internals...

Whats the highest psi you're currently running on stock internals, and what kit/turbine are you using?

Thanks

You could use the search buttom. This has been discused a lot of times.

I think I was the highest at 16psi making 356WHP using a GT35R with stock internals.

thing about the search button... which ive used a ton of times is that it gives me links that have the text i type in the thread which may or maynot pertain to the info im looking for. You wouldnt happen to have the link handy would you?

How long have you been running that high? and is it street driven? what do you think is the life of the engine running that much boost?

Thanks

It's not just psi, it's HP as well. the stock motor is good for about 350-400whp.
If you had a kit that could put out 450whp at 10psi, your gonna blow your motor, even though it's just 10psi.
If you had a kit that only put 300whp at 20psi, you will probably also blow your motor.
And remember, whatever you do to make your motor produce more power is going to decrease the longevity of the motor...

For comparisons sake, I'm makeing 252whp at 5psi and I drive my car daily. it's been like this almost a year now, and will soon up the boost to 9psi.

You can daily drive whatever PSI will get you to 300whp with no issues.

thanks guys... the answers i was looking for.. lol Currently im running at 10psi but only making about 275. I just upgraded my exhaust system to a full 2.5 and am about to hit up the aem fic for a retune. Im probably gonna shoot for 300hp regardless of the psi, but wanted to make sure what # i should keep my eye on. Ive got the Greddy/Mistu 18g turbine. If you guys had to guess what the psi would be for 300hp... what do you guys think it would be?

it all depends on what dyno you use. one dyno could say 320whp, and one could say 230whp. dyno numbers are useless, and can be easily manipulated. make sure you keep an eye on your timing.

well...I think a 90whp difference is a bit of an exageration...but you get the point.
Honestly, if your making 275 with the stock exhaust and you switch to a FULL 2.5 plus new tuning on the f/IC, you can probably get 300 without upping the psi at all, MAYBE to 11. Just be sure to get yoru new numbers on the same dyno to see the true difference.

sweet.. im hoping to see 300 just with the exhaust, but do you really think it would be a possibility without upping the boost?

alot depends on your tuner...but yes.
I have a COMPLETELY different setup then you, but I hit 320whp at 8psi.

True!!! 3 of the rods were bend and I was using a dual stage boost controler.
