oh btw im deff in need of a better clutch cause the stock one wasnt holding worth a flip today....lol

any suggestions.....

I had the ACT street clutch. Engagement is smooth as butter ^^

Now I have the ACT 6-Puck Sprung. Engagement is definitely rougher.

what was the reason for the upgrad....future plans or was it just not holding or worn out

Yea i'm sort of tired, I had a long day.

Tomorrow is payday. Getting some much needed goodies, that i've been holding out on.

Stoptech Front Rotors (my stock rotors have been out of spec for about a year, LMAO!)
EBC Red Stuff (front pads only) <==Definitely getting these.

[Maybe a VRD Grill (Titanium) and a Spare HID Ballast and Spare 6000k H3 Bulb, lol.] or [Mishimoto Radiator and the Dual 12" fan (I sold these a few months ago, I needed the cash)]

Well the last mechanic installed the act street clutch incorrectly.

It was also showing signs of definite harsh use >.< !!!

I decided to upgrade to the 6-puck clutch, since I was changing the tranny at the same time.

But if I had to install a clutch and pressure plate combo all over again. It would definitely be Competition Clutch.

The CC clutch and pressure plate, looook wayyyyy sturdier than the ACT version.

I guess thats why it costs more too =p

oh wow...that sucks

im just trying to gauge what clutch i should get that would still give me a little growing room power wise....but i really dont want a real harsh engagment unless i have to later on down the road.

Well definitely get a 4 or 6 puck sprung, not unsprung.

6 puck would be smoother engagement I believe, if my memory serves right.

Definitely CC for the win.

I'm not bashing ACT at all. Its definitely good quality, and I had zero problems with it.

But If you don't mind paying a little more for a little better quality, CC is definitely FTMFW! lol

My stage 4 clutch masters 6 puck sprung is fine, pedal feel just slightly stiffer but deepness is the same.. Smooth engagement is doable but takes a lil effort, it chatters usually when accelerating especially from stop or backing up but smooth acceleration is still doable but w/ some extra effort.. As far as changing gears if you release the clutch quick clamping is badass.. Downside is if you are driving on a traffic or your tired of a long day you prolly will be clutching lazy and there goes the rough ride haha.. if you dont mind that you're good, stge 4 is less expensive
