it goes from the valve cover to the intake pipe in between the maf and turbo.

 

cool.. i just did mine, that stainless braided line is tough to stretch lol, its a lil shy in size but i managed to get it on the valve cover

iv come to the conclusion that either my boost controller is effed or my wastgate is messed up. Im thinking its the boost controller though. With the boost controller off and running off of wastgate spring everything is gravy, but if i turn my boost controller on and try to go past 8psi it will not go past 8psi for a sec and surge a couple of times and then it will go to a higher psi. I was also thinking it could be tune or maybe spark plugs. Im not really sure whats going on but what i do know is just running off of wastgate spring im golden.

 

should be the boost controller.. anyway you can adjust wastegate opening like having it open early to avoid boost creep?

 

no mine is an mbc that has an on/off switch so you can run wastgate spring in the off position

 

just went crazy all of the sudden? most mbc i've heard are damn consistent.. check the solenoid for some dirt maybe, and your have checked for boost leaks?

 

dont have any leaks that i know of.......i found something interesting though, i data logged a run wher i was running off of wastgate spring, now the spring is supposed to be a 8.7psi spring but iv only seen 7psi from my boost gauge. well the log said i was running 8.6psi. the log gets its info from the internal map sensor in the fic. the funny thing is they both get ther vac source from the same place........vac block...so i dont think my boost gauge is very accurate.

 

since my mbc uses a 12volt lead to turn on i was thinking that it could be a loose connection inside the boost controller itself. My air filter has been beating the ____ outa my mbc for a while now so it could be that its been knocking the mbc retarded causing a loose internal connection.
