You wont find Mickey's in the size for the stockers. I think the highest they go is 16. But the tires themselves are the same price you would pay for those BFG's. That's why Slicks FTW! Same price as DR's. You just have to put the wheels on there to go with them.

You can get some 15x8 Rota wheels for pretty cheap.

well thats the thing trav i couldnt figure out exactly what wheels to get and what size slick i could fit...not to mention i got my spair pair of rims for 100 bux.....i dont think id find that kinda deal with any aftermarket rims even though they would out perform the stockers..just saying bro

oh well whats done is done, sunday i get to enjoy the fruits of my labor....lol

^^Yeah I feel ya. I ran the same setup. Spin in 1st gear still, and you should hook 2nd through the rest of the way. Good luck man, hope to see some videos if you can.

theres like, no nice tires for 17s

which makes sense since the rotational mass of a 17 vs a 15 inch actually would slow you down if you're shooting for 60 footers

well yesterday we got carlos's motor mounts in but ran out of time to do mine. now that we know how to do it it shouldnt take us long to do mine but its going to have to wait till next weekend or something. its really not all that hard to get the rear mount off as long as you leave the side transmission mount off and unbolt the rear mount.......then you just jack the transmission and engine up as high as you can.

idk if we did it or if it was something from before.......we didnt notice a leak before we jacked the car up but after we jacked it up we found a small leak under the car by the passenger side front fender......i looked for the leak and lost its trail on the inside of the engine bay. i looked over the hoses as far as i could and they were good......on a clean car you can normally follow the leak to its source but his car proved to be a mutant with disapearing leaks.....lol. the leak just seemed to dissapear so it makes me wonder if there is like a vent tube or it was leaking out of the cap itself when the car was at an extrem angle like we had it. i need to check in on carlos to see how the car did last night, see if he noticed a difference with the motor mounts.

I didn't get a chance to put in my mount yesterday either. I've been putting this off for so long because it just seems like a pain in the ___. I'm hoping to get these mounts on before I work on my kit, but I'm limited on time right now because my car is most likely going into the repair shop for hail damage. Take some pictures when you do yours so I have something to reference off of. lol

what is up guys? Chris the car ran great last nite and I think the leak was a mix of water with grease and dirt. Hence why it tasted sweet ;-P To all of u guys running the front mount only, please install the other two, it made a heck of a difference. There's about 75% less vibration than with the front one alone. Now I can hear little squeeky sounds I never heard before, but nothing significant. It's kind of fun to hear the transmission spool up as u go up in speed, but once again it's very faint.

Chris thanks again for all the help yesterday bro, everything worked great and the mbc mount looks bad butt.

After I left last nite I stoped at a gas station and gave the mbc 3 full turns and it read from 7 before to 8. The only issue I got was at around 5000 rpm, the car would jerk a bit and then carry on as normal. When I was heading to the scikotics meet I turn it one full turn back to see if it would fix it and it read 9 though, but the car accelerated smoothly and without any hesitation.

Those extra two pounds made a heck of a difference, and the afr's are still staying between 11.3 and 11.7

Thanks again man!!!

P.S. R u going to the track today?

glad to hear everything is working out for you carlos! I can't say how jealous I am right now of you. LOL

How far did you guys have to jack of the motor to remove the rear mount?

i didnt measure it but youll just have to jack it up a little at a time until you clear the motor mount enough to pull it out.
