Default Injen Intake on TRD Supercharger

This may be a stupid question but i couldnt find it when i searched. I heard that the Injen intake had to be cut somewhere to fit the supercharger. I just wanted to know if this was true and if so where at?

You can, this was mine, I ran it as a full cai, 10:7 a/f at wot plenty of fuel with a 9.5psi pulley. Maybe if you run it a sri it can run lean.

I plan on getting tuned anyways because I'm going to be running a bigger pulley then the 9.5 so that should all be corrected.

Looks like I'll be going with the factory one for now though.

And thanks for the pics bro

Yeah the big rubber hose that come with the s/c has some give and the intake just fits right in. make sure you use t bolt clamps.

Honestly I don't understand how everybody automatically says "it will run lean" when you modify the S/C, if anything the re-flash runs rich. Besides if the MAF is still in the proper location it is still going to read like it would AirBox or CAI.

it's just a common concern i've noticed many s/c guys bring up in the past. if it's not true my mistake.

I'm not trying to slam anybody; I just hear that phrase all the time whenever anybody mentions the S/C and modifying the intake ...

The only thing you have to be concerned with is if you change the diameter of the throat where the MAF sits. That will effect what it reads and could lean you out. I leaned out some with the weapon r intake but wasn't enough to be dangerous really but my tuner did note the difference.
