Hey i was just wondering if the price i got from a certain shop is a decent price for a turbo install.

The estimate they gave me was:

$1000.00 for the turbo install

$275.00 for the Gauges

$350.00 for a DYNO tune

dyno is right, guages are about right, but the turbo install could be a little cheaper. I would look around more.

 

$350 for a tune is a bit stiff.

 

most dyno tunes are that expensive sometime even more

 

Things tend to be expensive on LI. From what i've heard, thats about normal...not a great deal or anything though

 

After Hours Autosports isn't expensive and there on LI. Cheaper then any one around and do better work.

 

1000 is a bit high but I would see what hourly rate they're charging you. I've seen avg's of 6-800. If the kit fits really well, you should be able to pull off a full install in less than 5 hours depending on tools and access to a lift.

Dyno is about right if it's a good tuner. Entry level tuners charge about 125 to 250.

Gauges are about right because it's time consuming, though easy.

$ 1000 is a bit high. Look around for other shops that have been around for a while.
