Default Installed the Forge 007... MAIT REQ Light came on??

Hello everyone. I installed the Forge 007 diverter valve and put in the yellow spring since I am running the crank and boost pulley from ZPI. Now about 1 day later my service light is blinking when I turn the car on. What do you guys think?? Bad move on the valve or simple fix??

A maintenance required light should only come on if you are due for an oil change. The light is programmed to come on every 5,000 miles from the factory, so if you have changed your own oil, and didn't reset the light, it will come on. How many miles since your last oil change?

This is, of course, assuming it is actually the maintenance required light that came on and not a CEL.

Probably coincidence.

It starts blinking just before the 5000 interval. This is normal, you need an oil change. If you did change it yourself recently though, check the Tech section on how to reset it. Once you reach the 5000 interval, it will stay on steady.

I changed the oil myself at 7500 mile and right now it has 9200 miles so the 5000 mile interval might be the reason. I reset it so it should be fine. Thanks for the replies. Didn't know it would flash at the 5000 mile interval

You should have the green spring on your 007 unless your running close to 15 psi. Their website says that the green is good from 5-15 (it's where you can buy the spring kit on their website). Just wanted to tell you in case you didn't know

Unless hes running the valve backwards...it tends to leak a lil bit of boost when installed backwards....might even need to throw a washer under the spring as well.

true..., I still don't know if he needs it though, he can't be pushin anymore than 10 psi right? I mean ZPI's crank pulley isn't a different size so it wouldn't add any and their supercharger pulley puts out 9 psi. I mean idk, I just thought I'd bring that to his attention in case he hasn't read that

Regardless, it would only throw a CEL not a Maint. Required light. If you recently changed the oil and don't need a tune-up, hold in the trip reset button on your odometer (with key in off position) then turn the key and wait until the lines count down and dissappear.

I put the yellow spring in cause I noticed the green one feels very loose compared to the yellow spring. I do understand that the yellow is intended for 15-20 psi but so far on the test run in my opinion... it ran better with the yellow spring. I am running it upside down so it makes an awesome sound everytime you shift in boost!

The tension on the green spring felt no better than the bosch one that came with the SC kit.

Are you having any problems with the yellow spring? Any fluttering sound? I just ordered one yesterday and if yours is going fine I might try that as well.
