Default Internals/ Headwork

My tC is Supercharged. You can find a list of my modifications in my profile if you really care enough.

I am looking to do some headwork based around the RIPP Cams.

My issue is that I really don't know what else is necessary or suggested to do along with them. I know that I am going to need valve springs, retainers, and valves while I am at it, especially if I plan on letting it rev a little higher.

What is recommended?

If I do go ahead and do this, there is almost no reason not to tear into the bottom end and replace the connecting rods with something a bit beefier... maybe Dezod's K1 H-Beam rods. Stock pistons should still get me by. I wouldn't go more than 9.5 or 10.5 pounds on my SC.

Please chime in with some suggestions, experiences, any random useful knowledge. Thanks.

So you know when you up your REV's your going to UP your boost too right? Last night I hit 9.8psi on my 9.5 pulley because it was so cold I assume. You dont really need pistons or rods for what your going to be doing. Your going to need engine management though because the stock TRD tune just isnt going to cut it. What you should do is get bigger injectors, an 11 or 12 pound pulley and run it at that. Thats just what I would do at least in addition to the cams.

I am running 550cc injectors with the AEM F/IC... If I plan on bumping the boost to over 10lb I want to get a rebuild kit for the SC first.

if you do decide to upgrade ur rods u should do your piston too.. and everything else cause it would be a waste if you blew your motor due to piston failure down the line... even at 10.5psi good luck..
