LMFAO!!

What did I tell ya!! When I said that is the absolute least of your problems I definitely meant it.

This does not surprise me at all, not one single bit.

Dude that is the ABSOLUTE LEAST of your worries.

I had a total of 4 sunroofs shipped and 2 of them were broken and 1 was lost.

Like I said, something being mis-routed is the least of your problems. y items were packaged according to the UPS guidelines and each and every time I filed a claim when they were damaged the claim was denied and I had to appeal the claim to have them reverse the decision.

UPS for large items is the worst, you don't see how they could mis-route a 200+lb item, I don't see how they could lose a 4 foot tall 90 lb item and break 2 4 ft tall 90lb items.

Inspect it carefully when it is delivered because 1 thing I know about UPS is it does not matter if you label it large, whether it is shipped freight or ground, whether you label it fragile, it all gets treated the same way.

UPS FTMFL
UPS is the absolute worst with package that are large and valuable.

They are going to try to put a trace on it, when they say they locate it you will receive a package but it will be something else and not your engine. You will then have to file insurance through UPS and I hope you took out a lot of it because if you didn't they will not pay up.

Nothing good is going to come of this either they are going to send you a POS and claim its your package like they did me when I packaged a sunroof and received a tabletop or you're going to get a severely damaged item

Fact of the matter is the package was damaged and no one wants to lose their job so no one cops to it. It was damaged and then tossed out.

I have a UPS shipping account and like I said bro all packages are treated the same whether it weighs 1lb or 300lbs, all treated the same, like pure garbage. You pay extra for freight, for additional handling, for large package preparation and packaging and its treated like all the rest.

GL and let me know if you need help filing a claim, etc.

I really do hope you took out a wealth of insurance and have an invoice showing the cost of the item.

Nice build, can't wait for updates along with pictures. how many miles did your motor have before it blew and how many miles before it blew? I'm considering a tC mostly as a daily but the occasional auto cross or drag race. How reliable is this motor/5 speed transmission? I have read lots of negative things towards the clutch. I ask because 6psi shouldn't have been enough to cause it to blow unless something really gave out. What would be the most reliable/problem free year for the tC so far? 08? 07? sorry don't mean to thread jack

UPS will deliver 'something' they know they will have to pony up if the OP receives nothing. They're good for finding something that is similar in weight, re-printing the label and delivering it. Like i've been saying, $3000 sunroof...they deliver a $50 tabletop. It'll be a long process with UPS to get the money for insurance once everything is settled.

holy crap Cory....seriously broke a 100 g shock sensor? WTF?
This is so weird... I'm gonna go knock on some wood somewhere fast....cause to this point I've actually had 100% good experiences with UPS.
wow that totally sucks. From this thread... sounds like UPS couldn't find their own butts with both hands and a flashlight! geez

The sad part is they're still the best courier. Try shipping with FedEx lately? FedEx Express, FedEx Ground and FedEx Home are all owned and operated differently. At least Express and Ground work together, home is an entirely different entity that are micromanaged and outsourced.

UPS is horrible but they're the best we have which is also sad. As many of my friends have worked for UPS they have told me first hand how handling packages goes, you scan the label and toss the package. A package falls off the line try to scan it while the other 1000 items are coming at you and throw it.

OP, I hope your item does arrive in 1 piece, not in pieces, that it is actually your package and not something that they found when they put a trace on it and re-printed the label and that it is not damaged. Maybe UPS will prove me wrong when it comes to large and valuable items.

I suppose 4 damaged or lost items out of 5 isn't too bad.
