I understand both of you and I repeat: You don't need gauges, injectors and ecu to start the car at this point. In fact I personally do the same everytime I can! You can check for fluid and vacuum leaks and if something is not OK it is easier to diagnose since you haven't mess with a lot of things yet. Just be sure to install the other parts on the car and not try to drive it that way

The photo shown by sciontc07 clearly shows the MAF installed incorrectly!

MAF is a heated chip or wires which when air flows over it cools it off. The ECU can figure out how much air is flowing over it by how much it is cooled an then knows how much fuel to inject. If the air flow is in the wrong direction over the heated surface it cools it differently and injects the wrong amount of fuel and the engine may not run properly or at all. You would think there would be an arrow on it to indicate the air flow direction so it would not be installed backwards.

Are you sure its the flange bro? It just looks like it could be turned around and it would work fine.

Sure is a lot of "SOAP BOX" useless rambling in here for a guy who just has a MAF problem. I'm with Pito. Secondly.....when have you EVER seen a thread that says....."I blew my motor from running a Stage 0 with no management, injectors, at 6lbs of boost?"......I'll answer....never. So, get over it geesh.

I would install the gauges & check your AFR asap. If anything, see if there's a tuning shop that would be willing to help you out. A lot of them have built in AFR gauges at their shops that'll easily plug into the car to get a reading. I was having the SAME problem before. When my car went under 800rpms it would just die (try attempting to drive that in traffic in Los Angeles, it was incredibly scary). Turns out the problem was so minimal (mishimoto fans vs stock fans). Just the slight amount of air difference was causing the car to stall.

Thanks, my car actually stalled on me THREE times just going up the ramp there (it JUST started stalling on me in the parking lot there for the FIRST time, it was really weird, like my car lost the tune or something, I don't know).

Anyway....I say no more suggestions are really needed since we've already told you what needs to be done. You said that YOU WILL be installing them, so how about you DO install them & see what kind of progress you make. If you have anymore issues, come back & tell us the symptoms, but I guarantee you will make at least some sort of progress. Keep in mind, even if all your stuff is installed it may continue to do this prior to getting tuned, mine did, even with the F/IC piggyback.
