LET THE BUILD BEGIN!!!
i know i still have a very long way to go but i figured ill start my new build thread a tad early. so here we go....
already in my possession
first is a boost flow t3/t4 manifold
precision 5431 t3/t4 (i may go bigger depending on finances during the build)
tial 44mm vband wastgate
im not 100% sure if im going to build my block myself or order a dezod short block but heres the plans if i build it myself
coming soon...
BLOCK:
08 camry block (needs to be machined so im prolly gonna go w 89-90 mm bore. it all depends on how much the cylinders need to be machined)
wiseco 9:1 pistons
wiseco rings
wiseco wrist pins
k1 h-beam rods
acl main bearings & thrust bearing
arp main studs
arp head studs
HEAD:
BC stage 2 turbo cams
REV valve guides
BC valve springs & retainers
REV +1mm intake & exhaust valves
head will also be ported for optimal flow, as we all know this is crucial.
FUEL/MANAGEMENT:
DEZOD return fuel system
Injector Dynamics 1000cc injectors (may go smaller depending on how crazy i want to go)
(not sure if i wanna go full standalone or stay piggyback. this depends on my power goal)
DRIVETRAIN:
DEZOD SS clutch line
CLUTCH(still undecided as to which one to go with)
lightweight flywheel (still undecided as to which one to go with)
i do know that i still have a long road ahead of me, but isnt that the purpose of a build thread? these are the items that i have planned for the near future and they purchasing has already started. im not looking for rediculous power out of my tc as i still want to be able to get in and drive if a few times a week. my main thing is that i dont want to lose driveability and reliability, so this may limit me as far as my power goal, but who knows, i may change my mind while im in the process. most, if not, all parts will be ordered with Paul @ DEZOD with the exception of any oem parts. its gonna be a long road ahead but in the long run itll be worth it.
new pics will be added as the parts come in and progress is made.

im keepin it in mind sir. i gotta get the $ together for it. im hoping by the spring i can either order the block from u or have mine built up by than. it depends on how much time i have. but either way i go u will be getting my business.
Good Luck on the build looks like it should be great from the details.
One word of advice be very detailed and keep track of everything literally. Loosing one small part can slow down the process so much.
In for the final product.

thats a nice manifold. great start i would go with a act 6-puck sprung for the clutch thats what i have in my tc and i daily it making over 400+ the engagement isn't to harsh or at least i dont think so.
good luck on the build tho.

thanks everyone. im hoping all goes well. luckily my car wont be down (knock on wood) as im building the motor. im hopin the entire build goes smooth, but i know ill have some hiccups along the way. they rarely do but its just par for the course.
why do u say skip the cams??? as for the turbo, ill eventually go larger but i have something a lil more personal that i gotta take care of first. the gf wants me to lock it up and get on one knee...lol... yikes...so some how some way, im gonna try and do both at the same time this way both her needs and mine are satisfied...
so ive come to the conclusion that im going to build the block on my own, this way its not one big chuck of $ and i can have something to do over the winter months.

man i wouldn't skip the cams they are worth it for the sound alone. thats just me though. GL pearl good choice with paul he will keep taking good care of ya.

He'll do just fine.
thanks...the cams are gonna be dependant on if i decide to stick with the fic or go full standalone.
as far as paul goes, he is the best. hes helped me out both if i needed parts or a stupid question. ive called one other company and (not gonna drop any names) but theyve told me theyll call me back regarding an inquiry and never got a call back.

now here is a question i have in regards to bearing clearances. ive noticed that the acl race bearings dont have different thicknesses on dezod's site. is there in fact diff clearances? there were no spun bearings in the block i have, so in turn the crank should be fine. also when doing the balance shaft delete, does the crank have to be balanced to the pistons and rods? imho i think they would have to be considering its being changed from factory size, tolerances and clearances.

The crank should ALWAYS be rebalanced after a new piston/rod combo is added.

i am curious as to why you don't want to go standalone?
and you don't have to mention any names only one company on SL has customer service like that. and it's not dezod or ptuning.
generally you don't use oversized bearins unless you absolutly have too.
