Default long time scion owner signing off...:(

welp...

i sold my tC...modded it pretty well...but it was time for me to move on....i wanted something a lil more comfortable and something that was still fun

i bought a 6speed vw gti in tornado red w/sunroof and bluetooth

i just wanted to thank all of you turbo guys for giving me knowledge i never imagined id amass...i learned everytttthing i know about turbocharging cars from this website..seriously..you guys are so helpful..such a damn family over here

im still in Team ScioNRG and ill never leave cause they are for real my 2nd family and i love them all to death, no joke.

i have to say that 4 years ago when i bought the tc in july of 2006 i never envisioned how much it would change my life...

from meeting the greatest friends that i ever had the pleasure of knowing, to being fully absorbed in the car world with things like the infamous Scion VIP's and all the dealer shows...god dammit i wish scion made smthng turbo from the factory that was sweet...i woulda stayed with the brand

before i start gettin teary eyed i just wanna say thank you one more time, and best of luckto everyone with their turbbboosssssss

ill keep in the loop

~Matty

The interior almost kept the GTI in the hunt for my replacement. Soooo nice. And ya, the plaid is just awesome.

But I need a bit more... um... oomph. Oh, and AWD won't hurt either. So WRX it will be for me.

Strong motor? Uumm I dunno I hope your not planning to mod it and make it fast cause it's not easy nor cheap.

Well so far ive been researching everyhing about the car and it looks like the 2.0 TSI direct injection motor is a decent platform...in stock form VW underrates the horsepower...the crank hp is actually the wheel hp 197-205whp-200-210wtq).

With an ecu reflash(no piggybacks...yes!) from
APR you can gain another 20-30whp and 50wtq...with no other mods at all.

With an intake, downpipe, an exhaust..the ecu upgrade makes 260+ whp...and about 310wtq

The flash is 600, exhaust 1k and inatke 250..so for about 2k you can have a reasonably low 13 second hatch

well not for nothing but if your gunna use that logic than it would render the tC not worth it either...being N/A and not setup as a 'performance-oriented' car

dollar for dollar the VW is gunna be less.

$5000 for a turbo kit, tune, and gauges (assuming you install yourself) and your gunna get around the same amount of power i can safely achieve with I/E/Flash. for about $1700 bucks.

You tight if both cars coated the same but they don't so dollar for dollar the Tc wins. But like I said before if you like it. Go for it bro what really matters is you liking what you have. GL with whatever you do.

exactly...a got a bunch of v-dub friends. all you need to do is go to revo or unichip or apr whichever you want and get your ecu flashed. my buddy in his mk5 went through revo and it got him 60hp and 80tq. and thats stage 1. you can get those numbers on a completely stock car lol. front mount+injectors+turbo back+stage 2 = big power haha

Nice upgrade OP! I love the new GTI. Might actually get rid of the tC for one afterall since the wife likes the jetta and i might be able to sway her to the GTI. Unless the New Jetta GLI (comes out mid 2011) is much better looking than the last MK5 GLI, Yuck!
