Default A lot of Supercharger problems for the TC???

I've been hearing a lot of problems for the s/c for the TC and was wondering if they are going to make an updated version for it and what problems most people are having with the current s/c?

thats cause most people pound the crap out of there tc's just cause it has a supercharger. everyone want to go fast who dosn't. thats why componeys make these products. so you can break it and fix it. its all about the GREEN...You don't have to pound your tc every day just when u need to.

Most (if not all) of the superchargers that go bad are the result of installation error. I had one problem with my SC, a broken tranny bracket (the one that holds the SC).

When I got my replacement bracket, I had a shop readjust everything (they had to take it off anyway to pull the starter that day). Since readjusting everything the new bracket has been holding up fine.

Yes, you only hear about the cases when people have problems.

Rarely do people say, "Wow, I had the TRD S/C for 20,000 miles and I have yet to experience a problem!"

11,000 trouble free miles on mine so far. It's just the noise it makes that bugs me.

I can't say I really abused my tc everyday. I had my moments but for the most part I was puting all kinds of highway miles. You can't really say that beating it will cause a failure. Just think about how much harder Karl's blower is working and how long he's been running it, he also drives a ton. Everything seems to point to install error. I'd better define the error to be a fast "get it done and on to the next car" kind of install. Half the guys who work on these things may not have ever touched a F/I setup, not to say they all haven't. I burned two s/c's up and they were both installed at the same dealership by the same guy, who never installed one before that (just recently learned that part). What are the odds of one person burning up two blowers in one season?

I don't think they are going to make an updated version like rhythmnsmoke said it's to early to tell. If they are making an update version and it's coming up in the near future, they should announce it so they can ease the pain of most supercharger owners. I think seen another thread like this before.
