Without any of us being there and seeing it first hand, this is a he said, she said at best.

I have to disagree. I wouldn't say it was a he said, she said affair, when a Dezod representative is the one that installed and tuned it.

The car was done at Dezod West, which is independently owned and operated by Joe. I was NOT there in any fashion. So please let's not blur the facts as usual.

Secondly, the car was not tuned at all, per Joe. He told him they had to quit for the evening because it was 2-3AM and Joe told him to stay out of boost, come back in the morning and they would finalize the setup. That morning is when the customer ripped into it at part throttle grenading the motor. They didn't have a WB O2 or boost gauge even hooked up yet. This is Joe's account as he called me during the night, and the first thing the following morning before all this happened.

Great! Monday call me and we will square away the vac block.

Also, again I appologize for how this was handled.

So, You are saying Dezod West is a completely separate business than Dezod Motorsports? Not even a division of Dezod Motorsports? So, no partnership exsist between the two, that allows him to use the name brand "Dezod" into his buisness name? That sounds a little far fetched. I don't blur **** "as usual" like you mentioned. I only read what is posted, if there is something beyond that, then it should be KNOWN. First I have ever heard Dezod West is completely independent. So, who's to say when they go Dezod West they would be getting the same quality or "supposed" quality that Dezod Motorsports provides?

He shouldn't have let the car leave to begin with, but that's just me. You don't jerry-rig the downpipe and wastegate to fit, and then think it's fine to drive....

Sorry about the thread jack. I'm done.

DZW is 100%indepedently owned and operated. We have no vested interest in the company. The name is franchised. Same as a mcdonalds, subway, tim hortons.

Paul will be updating the other thread. I've been working with Paul and Dezod for about 4-5 years now with no problems. We decided it was best to expand the company so I'm managing Dezod West seperately, and taking the company in other directions. We both stand by our products 100% and there is no loss in quality or service by choosing Dezod or Dezod West.

Paul (from CA with the S1 kit) and I have worked out an agreement to take care of his unfortunate circumstances. It was very fair, and both parties are satisfied.

No one appreciates bashing of people or companies BEFORE a resolution was even present. It really blows me away what some people say. I wasn't in town for 2 weeks, and STILL stayed in contact with Paul as I drove accross the country. I called him today and things are being resolved. Someone said here I should act like a man and not a child and fess up? Did you even talk to your friend about this whole thing? I've been on these boards since 2004. Not once have I led people in the wrong directions with things or backed off support. I've been helping people since the beginning and for anyone that attempts to call me out with such support is really barking up the wrong tree.

I, rythmnsmoke, Paul (dezod), and a few others like Munch have been here since the beginning. We've all seen a lot and know how things should be handled.

I'm done ranting, but please if people have questions about product, support, labor, or tech info, email me. I always answer, and I'm honest about it. I'm not here to make a buck off of everyone I talk to, I just like steering people in the right direction.

Hope that helps. Paul will update his engine thread soon.

.
First off I dont care how long you have been on these boards,it DOESN'T MATTER!!!

Second who do you think I am a noob? I am the one who found the motor for paul, found the shop for his install, and made arrangments for pretty much everything for paul in this little situation. So you obviuosly dont know what your talking about. I know the full story pal! And I know what you did on your install to casue that motor to blow, And I know damn well you knew what happem when you went out there and looked at his car when it blew,so dont try to bullsh*t me on these boards! I cant beleive you changed the location on the vac house on the wastegate and when alex asked you why you moved it, you told him some bogus remark as to why you had it there! funny how you talk a good talk on the boards yet when it comes down to returning people's phone calls you just disregaurd them....It seems like the only time paul and I get a response from you is when I start typing on threads....fine with me...if you dont want to respond proffesionally, I can play dirty!(seems thats the only way you respond to us!)

anyways I have said what i needed to say! Paul has told me everything is been reloved between you two, and thats all I care about!!
My boy is getting taken care off!!!

So as far as this situation goes, I'm glad your taking care of my boy, and as far as I am concerned you guys @ dezod west are a bunch of stand up guys for taking the responsibilty, even though it took forever!!

I understand your frustration. There is reason behind the wastegate conversation and some details are being left out here, but I'm not going to beat a dead horse.

Paul knew even before I left that I was going accross country to fix up another project car and drive it accross the country. I called Paul the same week I got back, and even emailed him while I was in a hotel in OK. I'm definitely standing behind the install and admitted I made a careless mistake at 3AM when doing the install. Things are settled and I will continue to support my product and service.

I'm glad Paul is being taken care of as well. He's a good person and shouldn't have happened to him.
