Monster Motorworks Radiator Reservoir?

Monster Motorworks Radiator Reservoir?
OK, I got the MMW reservoir along with the power steering. Both of them are very nice and fit very well. High quality fittings, nice welds.
However, the radiator reservoir has a design that made me say "Huh?".
It has a drain line up top near the cap...on the out side with a hose. OK, overflow for the reservoir. On the inside, its just a hole to the fitting with the hose outside.
It also has a bib to slide the line from the radiator onto. OK..., reservoir bib to radiator
But, on the inside of the tank....there is no hose to the bib. So the radiator will dump into the tank, but it can't pull back out of the tank. Thus, the radiator level drops.
Well, I figured I would add a hose and see if that's the problem. Well, the inside of the tank has no where to attach a hose on to the bib.
So, I got hose that is 1 size smaller that the nipple, pushed it into the hole and down into the tank. It was a tight fit. I cut the end in the tank at a 45 (keeps it from sucking to the bottom or side) and cut the top of the hose right at the end of the nipple.
I pushed the radiator overflow hose on and now it flows fine. The radiator keeps topped off.
I'm sure the little drop in fluid is no big deal, but I can't understand why they designed it like that.
If I'm missing something, just let me know.
