Young one I see...

They stole money, cheated, and never shipped turbo kits. Only one person ever had one that I know of, and he had to take it to ZPI to have it fixed. That was the end of that.

Good find. They were running LSD equipped too right? If I can remember correctly that is. .1 of a second difference with an LSD equipped.....

Ahh...I see. Similar to tC Tunerz? And yeah, I've only been around the Scion comms since November last year. Been trying to piece together the past ever since. :D

I thought scion speed got taken over by zpi or something?
I could be way off, but when I bought my exhaust, I thought I got it from scion speed, but the invoice I got was from ZPI. And when I called to check the status, the girl I talked to sent me a shirt and hat for it taking so long (backorder back in '05) and it was a ZPI shirt and hat.
Am I totally off my rocker?

4. how many kits have you actually sold? (cause i've only seen one)
We have sold 2 kits so far apart from our prototype kit. It is sold with IC piping kit and all or a ala carte with just the manifold, turbo downpipe setup. We are selling it exclusively at Tuning Factory which we are a vendor here on Scion Life. As for pricing depends on if you want the standalone ECU or not. Kit comes with:

Omifab Manifold Stainless tubular TIG welded (lifetime warranty)
GT3740 Turbo with lines and fittings (we use stainless AN lines both feed and drain)
Tial 44mm wastegate with piping venting back into downpipe
Full Stainless 3 inch downpipe (with wideband ports)
3 inch S pipe also stainless
4 inch intake pipe and filter
Aluminum Radiator brackets (to move radiator forward to fit the turbo behind it)
All gaskets and bolts/studs

With the IC option you get:

Vibrant 880 HP core
Full 2.5 inch aluminum piping kit (bead rolled ends, silicone and t bolt clamps included)
Tial BOV although you can request an Apexi, HKS, Greddy or Turbo XS valve
Fitting pre-welded for air temp sensor

Whole kit minus injectors retails for $5999. So basically a little more than the Turbonetics kit but Hydra is recommended to run the kit as it is designed for no MAF. It is NOT a kit for the usual person and we understand that. It is a higher quality, higher HP kit for those who want more than the off the shelf kits and it is all hand made with exceptional reliability and quality. We have an optional 3 inch exhaust available as well. I will post pics of that in a different thread.

The guy who was associated with tC Tunerz was also associated with Scion Speed if I recall correctly. Hence the "out of business" thing.

you should pick up more than a tenth with an lsd.

Then maybe they should have evaluated their driving skills... Cause they were running a Phatom Grip LSD.

Quite the contrary. You got your kit, might not be in the timely fashion you would have hoped, but you GOT it.

Scion Speed = NO KIT PERIOD, NOR a refund.

ECU is an option. Some folks already have it so obviously no need for one. The 3 inch exhaust is also an option.
