Does anyone have a good base map they could throw my way I'll give 1 of my custom spark plug covers for the trouble.

 

I tried the base map I was sent and it didn't work at all... my tuner had to create mine... but then again i don't really know anything about tuning

 

so the oil pan was damaged
oil leaked out
engine said i dont like this lack of oil and broke
or did i miss something

actually my rod just broke I think it actually cracked first then it broke while I was letting it cool down

 

It's not on the oil PAN it's like the bottom of the motor.

What it looks like...to be honest..is that a bolt that holds that connecting rod in actually backed out a little bit over time and it rubbed through the bottom of the motor, because looking through the crack of the motor, the head on the bolt is really shiny where it has been rubbing.. Nothing BLEW the motor is still in tact, nothing is in pieces at all, just where the bolt rubbed through.

We contacted the dealership, and they said even though it is turbo'd it will be under warranty since this had nothing to do with the fact that it is a boosted car, so we are bringing it in tomorrow.

Well...got effed over by the dealer like most people do...

They told me it would be warranted...bring it today and I'd have o buy a new motor.

Which is somehow $8,000...

 

Time to call a junkyard, order a used motor for $750 and drop it in yourself. Rent a cherry picker, get some friends over and make it a weekend.

 

Only thing is, unless I buy a brand new one, they told me a used motor brings the value of my car down to squat...

 

Trade your tC into a Nissan Dealer to buy a used Tundra =p

They won't know its a used motor haha. Or sell it privately.

Just because its a used motor does not mean the car has a salvaged title.

 

They said if anyone were to find out it was used and i SAID it was the original motor, i could get sued for false information...

 

What if they never ask? Haha, shady but w/e. Sell it private party then? That might be your best bet.

 

haha its warranty right so no problem buying a used motor.. you're damn lucky, most dealers would blame it on the turbo
