Default MSD BTM w Fuel Add...

I was looking at this since I use to have one on my honda back in the day before they got all the cool ecu rechipping programs.

Wondering if somthing like this would work on the tC?

http://www.msdignition.com/sci_3.htm

You can edit the map and the fuel added via the plug to the unit... It be after the ecu I guess so this could work right...

I've used this setup before, on some older boosted vehicles. The BRC box works in conjuntion with the MSD ignition system so you would have to have both. Im honestly not sure how the stock ECU would react to the BRC box altering timing over time, but the MSD igntion boxes, such as the DIS-4 wire post ecu.

Although I have no direct experience with this setup on a toyota, I see no reason why it wouldnt work.

MSD, just as Haltech offer a AIC box that could control addtional injectors as well. The problem I see here is that the car having a wideband sensor could see the extra fuel and begin taking it away from the primary injectors not knowing where it came from.

With the ignition it seems there would be no secondary sensor to know the plugs were not firing at the desired time by the ecu, so I don't think there would be any adverse effects there.

I'd be interested in seeing the effects of this setup with the stock ecu, and the reaction it may or may not have. From my experience with the Scions, I leave nothing for certian until it has been tested on these cars specifically.

So in theory, the MSD DIS-4 would work for the tC for the ignition system. I know a lot of peeps that run that on domestic GM vehicles (2.2L and 2.4L). They have good results with it. I would think it will work with the 2AZ-FE as well, just has to be wired up correctly.

Dunno about the BRC stuffs.

This system would work yes... But just like the other ecm programs its before the ecm gets control of it. So it can make changes just like the other ones.

To me unichip still ahead of all because of its chaning the signals after the ecm has had its fun.

As for the rest of the MSD parts im not to sure if they make the rest for our cars. But I am sure you can get another cap from another car and make it work some how. I might dip into this later. But my honda has my focus again.
