My Supercharger Dyno w/ new ZPI pulley *Videos Added 11/30*
I think people will warm up to the supercharger more once people dyno with the basic boltons, being intake, header, exhaust.. and possibly an ecu tune. which is what most if every turbo kit is going to come with.. should be a little more comparable then and show some decent numbers.
To anyone that has already installed the ZPI supercharger pulley: Does the new pulley make the cara whine more? With the stock blower pulley, I have noticed that it's not very loud. I wanted more of a supercharger sound. Does the new pulley provide this?
If you want "more of a supercharger sound" - get a car with Roots type blower. Centrifugal will never scream even like a tiny Blitz on 1NZ or a TRD on 1ZZ... I kinda miss my whining Matrix, but blown tC will do for now, though honestly I don't like the sound or the vibration...
I heard ours is so quiet because vortech changed the internal gears to make them quieter. If you ever listened to the Civic Si vortech kit it sounded like a 747 jet at idle.. (pretty cool haha) but that was an older style vortech.. This is just what i've heard, not saying its fact..

its the way the gears are cut inside of the supercharger...our blower has helical cut gears, most others have straight cut gears and thats where you get that loud whining hum.
