the supercharger just came out - it has the power to put out 19psi --- this supercharger will overpower any setup for the tC. ...hands down....give it another year... people that have the tc are going to be more then happy w/ the mass amounts of parts for it. trust me. This car can only put out around 285hp w/o internal work done (safely). sure you can add more ...around 310hp but you will break something sooner or later. Anyway - to get back on topic --- im getting my exhaust and header done and then next year is supercharger time.

Yeah in thate states 127 is more than plenty. I wouldnt even take it over 100 here. But overseas it isnt uncommon to sit the cruise control at 130 and relax for a long trip. Its hard to explain but since everyone is going faster you will want to as well. I miss it over there so much

Got a link for that install page yet? I am curious if you can put this thing on without it tampering with any kind of seal that would void warranty.

I read on another topic in this site that the manual transmission tC is geared for a top speed at 138.89 and the auto tC is geared for 162.52. Here is the link.

Unfortunately you cannot finance the S/C with the car. It has to be purchased separate.

Kenny was out at a funeral today. I'll see if I can get one up soon.

Unfortunately, you'll have to remove the "tamper" cap on the pulley bolt to get the bolt out, which holds the pulley on the blower shaft.

I have another video clip of the tach during one of the pulls, it was with the stock pulley. I'll try and get that one up later as well.

WHOOOA....$60 bucks! Are you going to return it after using it. Cause better boost gauges I've seen, go for cheaper than $60.

Hey ZPI,
I was just wondering since your pulley increases boost to 9-10 psi. Is this safe to run non-intercooled? I thought anything over 7 psi will need an intercooler to work safely and efficiently.

I'm no S/C expect but I believe that since the S/C doesn't use extremely hot exhaust gas to turn the turbine, the whole unit doesn't get nearly as hot. So the S/C running at 9psi doesn't get nearly as hot as a turbo running the same boost. I could be wrong though, so don't jump down my back if I am ;)

did read pages 2-4 but i just wanted to add.

yah, theres a lot more power to be made. i'm surprised the thread starter doesnt already have a custom intake, aftermarket header, custom exhaust. its not that hard to get done. also, the stock reflash is still a conservative tune. i'm not sure about tc's but we need a standalone tc-based ecu tuning system. (not piggyback like apexi safc or some bull____) ie. rsx's have hondata kpro. with full control of engine management, u can get gobs of more power than any bolt-on will do.

is greddy emanage ultimate compatible with tc's? thats the only system i see that comes close to a standalone for us tc's.

i plan to get this TRD s/c, seeing so many people doubt the s/c's capability is pretty hard to comprehend. they seem as if they dont get the concept of the gains put out on the stock s/c with stock parts. +50gain w/ stock parts is pretty damn good even without a fine-tuned ecu.

i plan to go against my bro's boosted RSX (base auto) with this s/c. he's still working on it right now but we'll see who comes out on top.

The heat from the manifold on the turbo is not there on a SC, so you are right about that. The act of compressing air creates heat by itself, so will still get hot, along with the mechanical heat that is generated as well. So a SC will not get as hot... however, they still definitely can benefit from an intercooler.
