Default My Supercharger leaks...but I LOVE SPORT CITY SCION

First of all, I would like to say...

Jeff the Scion Guy and Steve in the service department at Sport City Toyota/Scion are GREAT.

Today I took my car in for routine 20,000 mile service. We discovered that there are two leaks coming from the two different seals on the supercharger shaft. I got my supercharger installed there at about 13,500 miles. John Pena the service advisor gave me a REALLY hard time, but Steve in service and Jeff the Scion Guy took care of things, and instead of making me feel like I was to blame like John, they made me feel like a truly valued customer.

Yes, I am sad that the sc is leaking. HOWEVER, that's what a warranty is for, and two big thumbs up for Sport City Toyota/Scion, especially Steve and Jeff.

There's a reason why I bought my car from Sport City and drive the 22 miles there rather than the two miles to the closer dealer.

Do you have any pictures of the leaks?

I can post some up tonight. Right now I'm at work. I'll take some when I get home. But the leaks are coming from both ends of the shaft at each of the respective seals.

What was it that he did/said? How did he try to make you feel it was your fault the sc leaks? Is he an idiot who tries to shaft all his customers by blaming issues on them?

You just took your car in for a check up at 20,000 miles? Can I do that or are you covered under a special warranty?

^ You're not required to take it to a dealer for the maintenance checks in order to retain your warranty, you only have to ensure the checks are done by someone (even yourself) at the specified intervals. Keep records, actually have the checks done on time, and you should be ok w/o having a dealer do the checks.

I take my car to the dealer every 5,000 miles for routine maintenance and what not, and get my service book stamped by them. That way I get a few extra bucks when I try and sell the car. Better service records and all...

I know I would pay extra for a car maintained exclusively at a dealer and nowhere else.
