Need advice fast. Going built motor route in 2 weeks
Iv been boosted for awhile now. Iv been threw 3 turbo rebuilds on my precision 5031E turbo due to blown seals. Probably be going with another turbo like Garrett soon after this turbo goes out again. I daily drive on 8.5psi and race on 10-11psi. I love the feel of boost and now im cravin more. Im wanting to up the boost but on a built motor. I would build the motor myself but I don’t want to risk messing something up like improper bearing clearances and spin a rod 500 miles later. That’s why im going with a dezod short block (non sleeved) and just go from their.
---Heres where I need advice
What extra stuff did ya guys replace when doing yas builds? Ex: chains, pumps, etc. Any advice ya can offer as far as building the motor? What kinds of sealants did ya use as far as on the timing cover and stuff?
I don’t have the time to do the searches on here at the time due to my busy schedual and I need answers fast as im doing my build soon.

if u don't have time to search then ur gonna mess up ur motor build... it's like jumping in a pool and not knowing how to swim...
research before u do anything
and if u did search u would find most people replace the oil pump.... and get all new gaskets and use OEM silicone and oem headgasket
sooo search and ull find out more

I proly should have gave a little more info. I already have cometic head gasket, new oem gaskets and arp studs for the build. Plus I am a tech just never messed with aftermarket parts for internal work to build a race engine plus I don't realy trust any machine shops around here. That's why I'm just gona order the short block. I'm just on a budget and don't want to have to buy what I don't need to. Of course ill be checking things to see if something needs replacement but id like to see what you guys have already experienced that was replaced and what was used again so i can go ahead and order the comon things others replaced. Also I wanted to see if ya used different sealants than factory.
As far as searching, I don't have time due to my busy schedule. And I'm doing it in two weeks cause that's when I'll have time to do it. I'm on my paid vacation from work and i just wouldnt have time to do something this major at a later date till next year.
