NEED HELP!!!! Manley rod problem
Ok so I am building my motor (2006 Tc) I have everything ready for my build and block 20over and new pistons and MANLEY H-Beams rods. My problem is after putting the short block together and after everything was torqued down I had tried to rotate my crank to get cylinder 1 to TDC and it took a dead stop!!!!!
WTF I know, it turns out the my H beam rods are touching the corner of the cylinder wall of the exhaust side of the block only. When rotated all rods will touch at the same time of stroke on the exhaust side.
Has anyone else seen this or experienced it? I am getting ready to bring the block back to the machine shop so my machinist can trim that point to make them work. Any thoughts?

While I dont have experience with the Manley H Beams in our motors this is a common practice when using aftermarket rods.
Although it is supposed to be noted when purchasing the rods or in the box they came in.

False. The longevity of said rod or any rod for that matter is contingent upon the quality of the tune and the fuel used. Control detonation and your rods will last.

What do you mean by quality of fuel? Would I be correct to assume you mean grade i.e octane? If you pump gas its almost impossible to tell if what is on the sign is what is in the ground. Learned that from working at a gas station We were brand Ours is Better and when the truck was done filling up, he would drive about 100 yards across the street to Super Convenience Gas.
