I need some help mounting my oil catch can. the pics below is where I have it now but it doesnt seem like the best place to put it. I cant figure out where else to put so I need some advice!
I know there is a huge dead spot underneath the battery where I could put but it looks nice and I want it semi visible also so I can check the level of oil thats in there so I can empty it every now and then.
So heres the pics. Where should I put it???

Well.... I can install one! Mine is currently installed already. I just need a better place for it. Im thinking smaller battery and put it there but i dont know what battery to get
That first pic looks like the tube is really stretched but he second pic looks real good to me.
But yoru right, most people put it under the battery. I've also seen them tucking in under the wiper cowl.
But what's wrong with where it's at now?

The position that its in now is ok but not ideal. The flow of the oil coming from the crank case has some pressure but not a whole lot so the main way that oil gets into a catch can is through gravity. So ideally the can should be mounted so the hose coming from the crank is at a down ward slope so it drains into the catch can. And its kind of blocking my intake and id like to have the hoses as short as possible to make the setup more efficient.

Well if you look at my pics, it catches oil from the crank case. Which is blow by oil. That oil would be routed into my intake normally then it would get sucked into my turbo. Not a big deal some people say? Well I have seen a few turbos go out on them because of this. My turbo is actually leaking a little from the seals because of this. Not anymore though!
On a turboed car, I would say it is a very good thing to have
And that wasnt a dumb question because less than a month ago I had no clue what an oil catch did either!

Here's a good thread that popped up just a couple weeks ago that goes through some info on venting the crankcase.
