Default Needing turbo help- first timer

alright so i have a 2009 scion tC and i really wanna run a turbo on it but i have a lot of questions and really dont know where to start

alright so my first big question is for the guys running small turbo kits do you have to build the motor at internally. i know if you run a bigger turbo then the answer would be yes but i see a lot of small turbo kits saying they getting like 250 at 8PSI.

also i know the Stock ECU cant be tuned on so what are you guys running for engine management

and any recommendations on turbo as i dont really wanna spend a ton but I know its not cheap to do

Before I respond, this is the primary example of a lazy member who's not willing to do any research...lol.

Start by looking around these forums.

Stock block limits are generally 350 WHP with a good tune.

also i know the Stock ECU cant be tuned on so what are you guys running for engine management
Typical management is the GReddy e-manage blue, GReddy e-manage ultimate, and AEM F/IC.

You know the answer. Turbo is expensive. I can name a million played out phrases, like "Pick two: Cheap, Fast, Reliable", but in the end, it will cost you money.

But on a serious note, search. The only reason King Arthur never found the Holy Grail was because he didnt have Google. But he still searched for it.

That's because the parts are used and they're selling it for dirt cheap or no one else will buy it, because most Scion owners are cheap. Sorry, but I don't think you know what you're getting into. Even if you get all the "necessary parts", stuff goes wrong, and if you limit yourself to "under 2 grand", it's going to really suck if something screws up. Get a better job, or just save your money longer, or don't go turbo.

Just put a shot of nitrous on your car and blow it up that way. You'll save money.

We're not helpful because we're telling the truth? I answered every single question you've asked. Typical "spoonfeed me" 18 year old.
