new car....GTI?
so i recently posted about a horrible accident i had, totalled the car, (im ok though thankfully) its been a couple of weeks and we're just not finalizing all the money things with insurance company... so i was told its time to start looking for a new car : (
i've been looking at the VW GTI, a 2006...used is cheaper than new, obviously, so i found a couple, just wanted to know what everyone elses thoughts on the car were.
thanks

vw's have the lowest consumer confidence in the us and one of the tech's at my toyota dealership has an vw r32 with a bunch of electrical problems.
and used cars are cheaper because you don't know what they have been through, and people don't buy GTI's to drive around like a granny.

If you don't mind spending the extra money and you don't want another tC, then go for the Civic Si. I wouldn't spend that extra money on it but if you don't mind it's a nice little car. I would just move in to the $30K+ cars or get another tC.

like you said its a VR6.
its like a combination of a straight 6 and a V6.
people call them staggered 6 cylinders
GTIs are pretty fast, but if you want to pay out the a$$ for maintenance and sub-par reliability, then go for it! Otherwise I think you should get another tC or a Civic ... maybe even a SKYYYY (I love the looks, lol).
