Unseen you've got a ZPI stage 0 right? How come you are installing an emanage? Is your car running okay?

yeah is your car running right, i was going to go with the stage zero, and a mild tune with a safc ii, is that enough i know people have told me that the stage zero dosent need a computer, but everyone keeps posting that they are having problems with the tune, i know the ecu is a pain, but dang. if i have to get a manager that is better than the safc ii then i dont know if i wanna run a stage zero or the supercharger. sorry for the rant, and jacking your thread i just wanna get this straightend out before i spend all this money. lol

nah, youre not jacking, its pertinent. some zpi stage 0's run rich (better than lean of course). zpi doesnt promise that stage 0 will not need management. i think initially they had planned on stage 0 without emanage, but ensured stage 1 would not throw a CEL. my car is running good, but still stalls sometimes. ive learned my shifting habits that prevent the stalling. this is not a long term solution, as im getting emanage wired soon, and then tuned the following week. dont let something like having to get emanage or unichip deter you from going with a turbo (especially a zpi kit at that). go turbo, you wont regret it.

That sort of sucks that even a stage 0 will need external fuel management. Well it seemed a little too good to be true to slap a turbo on the tC and expect the stock CPU to just take care of the rest...

Why even offer a stage 0 if you need more stuff to get the car running right?

some stage 0's have not thrown a CEL, some have. like i said, i think initially it went well, but it was on one or few prototypes that took well to the kit. when you apply this to the population, theres going to be variables. who knows. emanage isnt all that expensive, and more than likely (because i feel this way), youre going to want to upgrade anyway. no power is enough.
