New Dezod turbo setup... NEW PICS - Installed and running!!
Finally got the new turbo in. And now I'm letting the cat out of the bag. We are working on my built motor to run some serious amounts of boost. But why not try out another turbo combination on my tired engine haha?
The choice was made. An order was made. We have a turbo that spools as fast as a T28 but flows more air than a Stage 5 turbonetics hybrid. It's a new turbo from Innovative Turbo Systems. The turbo choice is the F2 Series dual ceramic ball bearing T3/T04E 54 trim. It has a retail price starting at $1995 online and prices go up from there. This turbo is the PERFECT turbo for a tC motor. Spooling super fast and flowing the air it needs up top should you end up porting the head. I'm installing it now, it should only take a couple hours to do. Here's some pics, a video showing you how well the turbine moves, and a blurb from Innovative. Expect real videos in the next two days. Hopefully tonight.

INSTALLED - UPDATE 1
Sorry guys I know the bay is filthy... Had a pretty rough couple of weeks recently. Car runs very strong. I'm not running the water cooling yet because I ran out of time but expect to see that installed soon too. Not sure if it was mentioned before, but this is a fully watercooled turbo, that can still run dry as long as you let it idle for a min or 2 after driving. Boost is instantaneous. In vac idle if i rev it lightly I can get the BOV to go off a few times. In gear it's very smooth with even more top-end than my turbonetics.

Questions?
They built this in direct response to the GTK. It's supposed to be the ultimate. The live cut-away model that they had at the PRI show blew Paul away so he's been sold on the Innovative turbo's ever since.
Only thing different in terms of mounting is the oil system. The oil return uses 3/8"-16 bolts instead of the T-netics metric, and the oil return flange needs to be drilled out accordingliny (the one that ships with our kit) in order for everything to mate up. Innovative does not ship with oil pressure restrictors so we installed a Turbonetics one and it fit perfect. New pics shortly.

Kay, Thanks! I was wondering about those GTKs since they came out. I thought u guys would be using them, since they look so sexy coated dark and already ported... lol
The BB on this I feel is 2nd to none because it can be rebuilt over time as well. No other BB can offer that.
The cut away model was unreal! The average turbine wheel, if spun by hand spins for approx 1 sec or so, but this freely spins for 4-5 seconds longer by hand as Joe demonstrated. Imagine this with 2.4L putting it along.......Can we say zero lag?

Because if it is rebuildable, it means that u can just replace the bad part and go on with the same turbine, instead of spending obsene amounts of money for a new one.
