Default New TO SL and FI

This will be my first car and I am thinking depending on the monthly dues(of getting a Gen 1 TC with auto tranny(gonna look around for a beater
to learn how to drive manual) I guess the highest safely with stock tranny is 240 which is fine for now, but I would like to be able to go up to about 350 when It's all said and done

I should claify, my question is what else would I need to make the car run safely auto tranny at that hp range? IPT tranny and new internals>?

there is no perfect answer to that. def going to need a beefy tranny (someone sig that lmao). it would be prudent for you to build up the engine aswell. add either 700cc injectors or 550cc injectors and a return fuel system, that should give you enough fuel.

thanks the kit I was looking at I believe comes with 550cc injectors already, I am in socal so I'll have to hit up the shops around here and ask some questions...looking for a daily but would like to have the power to play around with, anyway thanks for your input....

So just to understand are you going to boost your auto or boost the manual. Either can be done but boosting the manual would be cheaper and can hold higher hp and tq.

I'm guessing you would have to do a transmission swap but it would likely still be cheaper than building the auto trans. The 2az can do 300-350 with the right tune, parts, and fueling but stronger piston and rods are always good idea, also a slight port and polish never hurts. Keep us informed of what your planning so we can assist.
