Default no need for an ems with treadstone?

Im not sure how this works but is this correct. i mean they say you will not need any ems with their kit. if this is so and your afr's really stay around the 10-11 range, then thats awsome. and you can not beat it for the price.

It is true, you do not need a EMS such as Greddy E-Manage. Although it can help lean/rich out your car in certain areas, but it is not needed. I personally have driven in a Auto tC Turbo'd by Treadstone with no sort of engine management and AFR's look pretty good.

Actually going to put an emanage on it just to see if it runs any better. I'll keep ya posted

Thanks mightygnu. thats crazy that the stock ecu can withstand boost. how much boost can you honeslty plan on running without the stock ecu throwing crazy afr's out?

As a Treadstone owner, I really dis-like the way they (treadstone) word that. It DOES NOT make the kit run bad, it just isn't absolutly needed at 5-7psi. With the injectors that come with the kit, the stock EMS is able to handle the fuel delivery safely. But please note, I HIGHLY recommend using a piggy back engine management to lean out the fuel curve and to ensure your AFR's are where they should be. Your car will run rich without a piggy-back unit. If I were you, i'd wait a few months and see how this new AEM F/IC controller goes. I myself have the emanage blue and its been a pain in the ___! I love my treadstone kit.

i was think on getting the emange blue with with the pressure sensor. and you will still be looking a geat price for the kit that now has a piggyback like all the other kits.
