Default Not getting full boost???

Ok so while tuning, i noticed I wasn't getting entirely into the throttle, only like 70-80%(foot was caught). Once i got completely into it, i noticed boost never went above 6 psi(greddy kit).

At the partial(70-80) throttle, it hits 8psi, stays there nice and smooth, but doesn't hit it at full throttle.

Kit has an internal wastegate....

pretty sure exhaust is good...i know its on there tight at the s-pipe, nothing else has changed.

Vacuum is a possibility...but i hear nothing running, any tips for finding them?

Vac leak is probably what it is...also what is your source for determining vac/boost? If it is your vac/boost gauge then you may need to find a better source for it. What is your source anyway? Furthermore, when the car is warm and idling, what is your vac reading?

Idles right around 20 meaning less than 20 most of the time? You have a leak...you should be idling 22 to 24. Find a different source, i.e. brake booster. Also, are you utilizing a vac manifold? If so what all do you have connected to it?

Also, you didn't mention what boost level the wastegate is set to? Sometimes they do open a little early but it shouldn't be very noticeable, that doesn't sound like the case for you though.

No on MBC...considering it though...

yes i have a block. All connection have thread sealent on them for 24+ hours and are zip tied. not to mention tight fitting as ____. Wastegate, gauge, BOV and the line to the intake manifold right under throttle body are all on it.

vacuum is right around 20. i mean i never got close enough to hard core read it, might be 21 or 19, but right at 20. whenever i let off gas and cruise down road, it does go over 20, up to 25 ish.

And where is the line for the brake booster? I have been looking all over for that thing!

Brake booster is the vac line on the firewall, part of it is metal/steel towards the drivers side and as you come across to the passenger side it becomes a rubber hose, pretty thick.

When you let off the gas it should increase, but you should have a stronger vac at idle.

So your source is the throttle body to the vac block. Coming out of the vac block you have your WG, Vac/Boost Gauge and BOV. That should be fine, sounds similar to mine.

What are you using for management? I will assume it isn't an F/IC since you didn't mention a source for it, if it were connected to the same source as your other components I would strongly suggest moving it to the brake booster.

Its Emanage Ultimate... Well I'll go pick up some vacuum lines later and attempt it on the brake booster.

Anybody have any tips for checking for a leak???

some internal wastegates are not very reliable, some worse than others. with that being said its always best to check everything so doing a boost leak test is prolly the best route that i can think of right now. You could go the quick and easy route (not the most reliable but will help find leaks). all you need is a steady flow of pressure via compressor and rig up a cap for the turbo intake that has a connection for air. give it a steady flow of 20-30psi of air and spray some soapy water on suspect areas. Its not the most accurate way of doing it but it will help to some degree.

yeah kinda a better safe than sorry kinda thing....its just to make sure that everything is tight enough to seal and deal with daily vibrations without a charge pipe wiggling itself loose. if it can seal at that pressure its going to hold for a long time.

Mine does the same thing and the only fix I found after everything was to run a boost controller.
