Heck I have used them on race motors for years and years with no issues. If you guys have actually delt with the 2az, it is one of the best balanced 4 bangers I have come across. I feel safer tossing a pulley on this baby than any other motor I have come across. The 2az is a very low revving engine.

kilo I saw in your profile it says you have all the nst pulleys. Did you notice a big difference from using all of them? I was thinking about doing that later on this summer. I'm sure it would be a little different on a supercharger than na but it'll give me an idea.

I read an article in Turbo magazine and they said the 2az was a terrible choice for the tc and they should have used the 2zz. They obviously weren't paying attention when driving because you need that torque to haul this baby around. Matter of fact I like this motor. Now I just need to go the all forged route and get boost crazy.

2az is a decent motor. The 2zz was garbage. They have not built a really good 4 banger since the 3sgte.. They need to make a performance shorter stroke version of the 2az with a much better head design. Generally beef her up all around.

Wish someone would do a 1997-1999 caldina 3sgte swap in the tc. She would be a monster.

yeah, mid range is nice.....i installed a header the same day, very quiet and very responsive, its worth the extra dough.
i love how people act like the crank is just flopping around in the block and a stock pulley holds it all together, the last guy who tried to make the argument on this site tried to use a 1969 test done on a BMW by dinan engineering done in 1969......

the motor in the Tc is internally balanced and a pulley will have no major effects other then wearing the motor faster, its not like it will explode or fall apart, i asked one of the techs at a shop who has been wrenching on cars for over 30 years....
ill take that advice over some dude on S/L.

I just bought my supercharger about a minute ago. Now I just need for all my parts to show up and start my installs. I plan to do it all in stages so I can see the effect.

Nice. I want one so bad. Some day maybe once I get that master tech position. The man always has to keep us b-techs from becoming a's.

i have to wait 4-6 monthes to get this, makes my 4 week wait for the Tc seem like nothing. They dont have any 6sp white IS new anywhere in the US, apparently they dont make them in quantity. OUt of 878 IS 250s made last month only 20 of them were manual......worldwide. Oh well it gives me time to scrape up some money for rims.

Exactly. I got my Tc right away but I have had to wait to buy my supercharger. Stupid bills keep holding me back. I gotta stop going on my spending sprees. Thats how I ended up with a Tc. Now I went on another and bought pulleys, a gauge, battery, wire, supercharger, and who knows what else. I keep forgetting.

LOL....actually someone in VA bought them on ebay.
Yeah that is sort of how i got the Tc too, we were looking for a inexpensive commuter car for my wife, then i saw one fixed up and it went down hill from there...
so now my wife needs a new car again, Hense IS250...
But i promised here i wont do anything to it, at least not for the first 30 days

dave, i left the wheel guy another email...hopefully i will have a price this week.

06scionsc now all you need is rims? or do you already have that?

No rims yet. Still in decision on size and type. I know I want bronze, gunmetal, or black. I want the widest rims I can fit and drive without rubbing. Only problem with lowering the car is it makes it harder. I'd really like to step up to 19's but I would sacrifice the height for width. Anybody ever try to fit 17x9's or 9.5? Problem is I am on s-techs.

Let me know the price and fitment. I really like those. I don't have money right now because of the supercharger. Hopefully once my dealership opens to the public I will be able to make some money.
