Default Odd SC issue

I got my SC put in a couple of months ago and it's been working great since then, but I've noticed lately that the needle has never really sat in the middle of the temp gauge always a little below, when compared to NA. The other night I noticed something that concerns me more though, and that is even if my temp gauge is reading its normal operating temp, if I do spirited driving the temp gauge will plunge to the first notch, is this normal or should I take it to the dealership?

TIA

if it's getting even colder after some "spirited"driving, then something is wrong. You need to get that checked out

The supercharger comes with a different thermostat that is set at a lower temperature. Airflow increases across the radiator during spirited driving and highway driving, which would help decrease engine temperature, at least according to the temperature gauge.

What do you consider the "first notch"? When the engine is off, the needle is below the first line. When at normal operating temperature, it's between the second and third lines. It sits around the third line if I'm idling or driving slow (heavy traffic). It drops to the second line when driving down the highway at normal speeds. If your needle goes below that when driving, it would be a concern.

Sorry I was wrong it would be the second line in that case, I guess I wasn't thinking clearly. Also it does not happen on the highway from what I have seen but when it happens the most dramatically is when I accelerate from a stop, if I floor it from, say a stop sign, the needle will drop to that second notch by the time I am half way through second and then when I let off it goes back to where it was originally.

I think I will make an appointment but how exactly do I describe this to them with out making them think I beat on my car? Anyone got any ideas?

Tell them that when you try to merge with traffic, you notice that the needle on the engine temperature gauge falls dramatically.

That is a strange thing. I don't know much about the supercharger. Could it be that you don't warm up the engine when you start it? Or could it be the weather up here in NH? It bloody freezing!

Did you get the supercharger on DW Highway? If so, how was the service and how much did it cost (labor that is)?
