Ok guys here's the update for the last couple of days. We purchased a lot of parts already and expect most of them next week.

Parts purchased:
Custom spec'd intercooler with staggered end tanks
Turbonetics "special build" hybrid turbo (specs anonymous for now)
Turbonetics hoses, t-clamps, v-clamps
Manifold being made (Going for a pure stainless, either that or cast iron).

We basically have everything we need but pipes, a BOV, the fuel system, and a wastegate. That should all be taken care of over the next week.

We're using a lot of science and calculations with this kit (two smart guys workin on this one haha). Everything will be calculated. The thermal conditions, MAF placement, charge pipe diameterS, injector pulse, downpipe diameter with new S-Pipe, routing of wastegate, the works.

We're also trying to use an OEM upgraded high-impedence injector setup. This will ensure identical flow numbers when compared with the injectors we test with, so no one get's an "off tune".

We actually started figuring out what our Stage 2 will consist off and it's going to be a monster setup... If we get traction, we're expecting 11s on stock block, stock tranny (upgraded clutch though!).

Hopefully that's a start of an update. If anyone else wants to know more, let me know and we'd be more than happy to answer any questions or comments you have.

-Joe

When we're done this kit, our kits will be available nearly instantly. There will be about a week delay once we receive money so we can order the turbos. We'll be stocking some of the components, but not the large expensive ones.

I've been known on the 7thgencivic.com site for my videos, rest assured you will have more media than you can imagine when we get going on this. It'll be quite interesting.

Thanks for you support guys, we're doing the best we can to please everyone.

yah know. I personally don't know Joe, but he drives a Nice tC, seems like a pretty well informed and cool guy on the boards. I personally am Getting sick of sitting on 5gs in my bank account waiting for a carb EO turbo kit. If Joe gets his out b4 Greddy, HKS or what ever I'll probably be buying from him. Since his kit is using the Turbo I want, and the electronics I want

Dude that made my night.

I am doing everything in my power to get the same level of quality as OEM.

Our pipes are being professionally made by Random Tech, a high-flow cat/downpipe company out of Atlanta, GA. Every pipe will have the same bend ensuring perfect OEM fitment, quality, and finish.

Is there anyone with suggestions or requests on what they want to come with the kit? As of right now you get the following:

Turbonetics "special sauce" turbo
Custom staggered intercooler setup (made for specific air flow)
Greddy BOV
mandrel bent charge pipes, downpipe, S-Pipe
Greddy fuel and igition system.
Turbonetics hoses, clamps, and oil lines
Tial external aastegate (routed back into exhaust for stage 1)
Nexus/Alphawerks turbo manifold

More or less a kit that's shipping with about 250-310WHP, depending on exhaust, octane, and any other supporting mods.

Now the question is if we should ship it with a boost controller (MBC to keep cost down), or structure it eventually with upgrades to an EBC or more. Turbo timers, and other misc equipment is available on Dezod.com

If you live it Atlanta, GA and want to donate your car for a week, I don't see why not haha...

We'll do our best to keep these kits affordable. I'm trying to get creative with soo many things to add value or some type of uniqueness (sp? or does that word exist???).

Stay tuned guys, I'll start showing pictures close to the end of the week next week. Thanks.

Only thing joe. I'd prefer a type rs blow off valve. Profec type S boost controler etc. Just wondering if you guys would be flexible in the ordering of your kits. Of course if the customer wants a more expensive part, the kit is going to cost that much more. Just hope you guys can do that.

We're looking to be able to do that.

We are using the Greddy Type-RS with the kits to begin with, so the only upgrade you'd probably request is a boost controller, which isn't an issue.

Now switching to a different BOV other than a Greddy Type-S (instead of the included RS) will be next to impoosible and a lot more money. Our kits will be pre-made and flanged specifically for the Greddy BOV units. HKS costs more and uses a completely different flange, so that'd be hard.

The type-RS uses the same technology as the HKS SSQV but looks nicer for recirculationg, so we went with that.

As much as I'd like the kits to be Carb Certified, I know it will take a great deal of time and money. As of right now, we will be releasing the kits without a carb cert. but later on if sales continue to go at a good rate, and there's enough demand, we may consider it.
I'm in Cali so hopefully you consider CARB certification. I already have 3gs saved up so hopefully yours will already be CARB certified when I get enough money for the turbo.

If you can make the turbo spool by ~2500 rpm than I'm game.

I like so many choices - I just hope no one comes in and reveals Dezod's shoddy past or something. Then they'll all be the same..

We're developing this kit to hopefully spool below 2500 no prob, but full boost will be closer to 3K.

Anything about our past wil only make us look better so I'm not worried about that. We have been growing rapidly and all of our customers are happy with us.

They're a great company and I do respect them, but turbo trix isn't making full production pipe kits for our Stage 1 kit. Random Tech is the golden company that's allowing this whole thing to go smoothly. Hopefully everything works out and we have no regrets. I'm definately looking forward to running this kit.
