I know that a FMIC would lower your boost level but wouldn't it also give you a hp gain by adding cooler air to the blower?

the design of the TRD supercharger is about as anti-FMIC as you can get.

gonna dyno my car at school in the next 3 weeks. finally gonna see if that intake had any effect.

finally dynoed my car today. how am i getting 8 lbs of boost sometimes? sometimes 6.5? wierd. and at WOT its running rich. 11:1 a/f ratio. i got 198.52 HP and 175.95 Torque in 4 th gear at the wheels. so crank hp should be higher. top speed is like 107. will post printout soon.

You have what done to the engine aside from the blower and intake?

uh....nothing else. just intake, axle back tsudo fireball and bosch 110 sport bpv. actually i did 2 runs with the stock box too and it was almost identical. im 5-speed here.

here's my printout. the top one was my first run with the intake. the green one was with the stock air box. almost identical.

Those Denso K22PR-U spark plugs. How often do we change them?
And do most people use E-Manage to tune the SC?
Anyone got pic of where to plug the E-Manage harness?

is the denso .32 gap 2 steps colder spark plugs worth buying compared to our 1 step colder plugs that are kits come with?

i know this has been asked before but wouldnt the camcon work good for wot tuning,and then just let the trd tune worry about part throttle?

ok, i'll bite..

on the s/c replacement parts on the first page there are two toyota parts:

TRD 2.4AZ S/C, Cold Plug Replacement Part PTR24-21050-00
TRD, Spark Plug PTR24-21055-01

big diff in price...and i don't see a cold plug on this anywhere. so what's the diff?

I tried searching and keep coming up empty. I'm trying to find out what size the NPT fitting is on the oil T so I can add my oil pressure sending unit for my gauge. I have put it off for a few weeks now but I'm tired of looking and a gauge that stays pegged at 100psi. Any help would be great thanks.

What do I keep hearing about people taking off the extra filter part of the TRD Airbox to allow better air flow ?

Is this tru ?

yea take that charcoal filter part off. it is just held in by plastic rivets. it pops off easily with a flathead screwdriver. that charcoal filter is really restrictive.

Just wanted to throw in a follow up, I installed the MMW s/c intake and have been running with out a single issue for about 1500 miles. Oh and im running the 9.5 pulley.
