I think your right. I dropped in a quarter of a quart of oil and my dipstick was totally on full, so it LOOKS like I lost more then I did. I was just worried about my turbo.
It'll be fixed by this weekend, either by olaHalo's tech friend tomorrow, or by me on Saturday.
One last thing, even though only one part is leaking (the part on the block) should I go ahead and take the other connections off and seal them as well to prevent them from possibly leakingin the future? Or should I follow the mantra of "If it ain't broke, dont' fix it"?

you can't tap the oil pan with a torch. You need a drill, tap, and die.
some use the torch to remove the sealant, and I tried, but I was staring up into where the filter goes and I was like "F THAT!"
Todd got it off with just a hammer and flat head screwdriver. He was like "Um...what's the torch for?"
