did u have to rethread the head to make the fitting fit or did u just screw it in halfway? because i was talking to a guy who is a distributor for turbonetics and he said you would need 1/8NPT female to 1/8 BPT male to make it fit into the head w/o retaping the head. I simply just screwed mine in and it went in about half way cuz mine is 1/8NPT to 1/8 NPT also but i used the rtv and it has never leaked since.
yeah i did have to re thread the block cause my t fittng that came with my kit snapped off and f'd up the threadsso i rethreaded it with 1/8th

Here's what I think... You didn't lose pressure cuz it was leaking mostly when you shut your car off due to it being so small. It was whatever was just hanging around in there that leaked out the most and made it look bad. The leak is probably way to small to make any noticeable change in pressure. Think of a garden hose that is on full blast and you poke a pin hole in it. It will still leak out but you don't notice any pressure lost.

I think your right. I dropped in a quarter of a quart of oil and my dipstick was totally on full, so it LOOKS like I lost more then I did. I was just worried about my turbo.
It'll be fixed by this weekend, either by olaHalo's tech friend tomorrow, or by me on Saturday.

One last thing, even though only one part is leaking (the part on the block) should I go ahead and take the other connections off and seal them as well to prevent them from possibly leakingin the future? Or should I follow the mantra of "If it ain't broke, dont' fix it"?

you can't tap the oil pan with a torch. You need a drill, tap, and die.

some use the torch to remove the sealant, and I tried, but I was staring up into where the filter goes and I was like "F THAT!"
Todd got it off with just a hammer and flat head screwdriver. He was like "Um...what's the torch for?"
