Default Ok...SO I want a ZPI Stage 1.5 Turbocharger kit.

For my 2005 Scion tC.

With the $5000 it will cost for the kit, what all else is a must for what I need to make this run properly. I already have a borla kat back. But, I don't think that the flow is large enough for a turbo. Is there a cheaper way to get this kit for less than $5000? And basically I want to know how much in a rough estimate it will all cost excluding the labor.

Gauges ( boost, wideband and EGT) are a must. What size piping is the Borla... You will want to run 2.5" turbo back with that setup as a minimum.. As for getting it for cheaper.. give ZPI a call and talk to them or they now offer finacing..

I would say plan on spending atleast $5600 for the kit and gauges alone ( that's with Autometer gauges and an AEM wideband)... As for cost on exhaust I it will depend on who you get one from, what size, etc... This is not gonna be a cheap priject, but it will make great power in the end.

Also could I roll around with a stock clutch for awhile with it? I know it recomends a stage 3 but, I'm still getting the money together.

You can if you dont get on it, you will chew up the stock clutch pretty fast if you do,not much fun to have the turbo and not be able to play once in awhile.... The other thing is since you have it apart it would be a lot easy to do it then, rather than have to tear it all back down again. Good luck man, and I agree with Proshop give ZPI a call and talk with them on what you are looking to do, they will be much better at giving you answers to your questions!!

Straight from ZPI website: You will need an upgraded clutch with this kit, we recommend the Clutchmasters Stage 3 or better.

We also recommend the use of a boost gauge, EGT gauge and wideband with this kit.

I honestly completely forgot about the clutch
