if you're running open loop that means your throttle body is open all the way, i believe...i don't think that's such a good idea.

someone correct me if i'm wrong

Open loop 3 is when you unplug your front o2 sensor and the ecu does not try and change the long term or short term fuel trims. This makes it easier to tune for partial throttle and keeps the computer from changing your fuel tuning.

gingles I think this is a specific tuning problem. You may not have enough resolution in your tuning device at low RPM so that you can accurately tune for idle. Maybe if you tell us what you are using to tune and maybe show us your map it may help.

looks a tuning issue.. on idle observe if your idle cell jumps around and observe the afrs as it moves around, myabe it just needs to be smoothened out.. or maybe its the high vacuum area needs to be adjusted. Seeing 17s on deceleration/off throttle/high vacuum should be normal and then it starts go back to idle afrs.

Can you change the load cells?? Maybe you could make the first 3 columns or rows 500, 700, and 900 RPM. I doubt you use all the cells in the ultimate. This is just an idea though.
