Default Picking away at my install....

So I have some time this weekend, and I was looking to do some work on my turbo install. I am installing the gauges (boost, oil pressure and Wideband). I was also thinking of installing the fuel injectors (550cc) and 1 step colder plugs.
Now I don't think I would have any issues, but then again I am a rookie in the FI world. Would installing the fuel injectors and plugs cause problems before I finish up everything else on another weekend? Possibly running rich, decreased mpg etc.

Thanks

hey justin? think that was your name anyways when i had my 440s put in the car ran pretty rich till it learned fuel trims... i took maybe like 10 minutes of idling and id say some stop and go around town then hop on an interstate for 5 minutes just so the car can see different load points and adjust fuel accordingly.....

what i dont suggest is flooring the car because that will make u soo rich ull possibly do damage

and pretty much try hard to staty outta open loop

things that will throw u in open loop:

driving above 3500rpms under some load
flooring the car puts u in open loop
and having any major chekc engine lights

yes u wil have a systme too rich code but that wont affect driveability idk if the 550 are too large for the ecu to make enough fuel adjustments to keep u in the 14.7 area but ull be somewhere near id say 13s cruising aroudn

to play it safe u should actually just do the injectors last

u can for sure drive a turbo car without injectors around town staying outta boost, but u cant drive a car with big injectors around town without boost

installing 550cc injectors can cause very slight issues, first you will see some decrease in mpg exp if you like to stomp the peddle often. also you will see a rise in your fuel trims, the ecu will for the most part adjust to the extra fuel. if the trims go up too high it will throw a cel but so far iv never seen 550cc injectors ever throw a cell on a stock tc. I really wouldnt install the spark plugs till you install the turbo, just kind of a waste cause you may foul them.

so in short you could if you wanted to install the injectors but the plugs id leave till your ready. good luck

yeah as soon as our condo sells, my wife and I are heading to Roanoke, VA. Still a haul to your area, but closer than CT.

bought a used dezod s1 kit. Has approx 9k on it. It's in great shape. I am currently debating doing the install myself. The only problem I think I might run into is the s-pipe matching up to my current exhaust. My custom exhaust matches up with the stock header, so I would assume fitment shouldn't be an issue, but then again....

This is my dd, so I want to make sure it functions 100%. I am planning on a very conservative tune and keeping it at 8psi. I wish I had someone in the area to help me install it that has done a boosted tc or 2.

So for right now, I am just picking away at things I can do in a few hours, and doesn't require complete dismantling. After I get that stuff out of the way, I will figure out what to do about the rest of the install.

Thanks

the dezod downpipe doesn't match up to the stock position for the spipe so you might want to check in to find an s pipe for it to fit.

I have the dezod s-pipe. I currently have the stock header with a megan s-pipe followed by a custom mid. My concern is the dezod s-pipe won't fit up to my custom mid. I guess it wouldn't be to much work to install the turbo and s-pipe and see if I have fitment issues. If I do, I would just have to go back to stock and have a garage do the fitment.
