Default Pics Update! Rumor has it.......New S/C Transmission Bracket

There's gonna be a new stronger Supercharger transmission bracket released. Mine broke a few months ago and I was able to do a temp fix with JB Weld.... that stuff finally gave up and when I went to order a new bracket, I was told TRD did not want the old ones being sold. They're supposedly going to release a new one with some sort of adjustable bushing(?). I should have one of the 30 new ones in about a week so I'll let everyone know what's been changed.

More rumor s? I hope this one is true. Why should the current owners pay for new transmission brackets . If they know the current brackets are weak and they will break easy, they should have a recall on thet part and replace it.
anyway I hope it is true

I agree.... I have a feeling that If I didn't change the pully, I would have gotten at least a discount. The gentleman I spoke with asked me if I still had the cap on before he gave me a price.

They must ask that to see if someone changed out the boost pulley to the 9.5psi one. If the tamper proof cap is still there, they would probably just give u the replacement one for free, but if its not, they charge ya....This sounds like what's happening at least.

The tamper proof cap is gold. I think that would sound a little suspicious if you needed one all of a sudden.

As for rumors, I'll believe it when I see it. TRD did next to nothing but shell out replacements for a solid year now with all of the problems the unit has had. More power to you guys if the new bracket comes in.

I actually called on the old part number today. It has been discontinued. So there is a good possiblity there will be a new bracket. The toyota rep is supposed to get back with me in the next few days with a new part number.

I hope they do, this will make the decision to go with the s/c much easier

I was under the impression that the new, stronger bracket was one of the few changes made for the 07 kit
