Piston Ring Failure :(
So cylinder 3 came out WAY low.
#1 - 190
#2 - 195
#3 - 125
#4 - 190
Dropped some oil in it and it shot up to 170. If the walls arent scared at all, could i just replace the ring and go. Also do i have to pull the motor all the way to get the head off? Thinking about just for now to loosen the rod bolts through the Oil Pan, pushing piston through the top and replacing the ring just to get the car on the road for now until i get some money im waiting for near New Years to start the build. Is this a solid option?

If there is no scarring, you should be good by doing that if the issue is only ring related, im in your same situation except mines in cyl #4
cyl 1- 180
cyl 2- 180
cyl 3- 180
cyl 4- 160
I dropped oil in mine and it didnt change at all. Put it back to stock see if its still driveable, because mine is and ive been off boost since august. My block's almost here to replace this one though, but if its still driveable i would but it back to stock for now. Keep an eye on your oil and coolant.

Its prob trashed ring landings, which end up scarring the walls pretty bad. I drove mine for like 6 months once with it like this until I built the motor. It cant really get any worse, unfortunately if youre still turbo itll prob smoke bad due to the excessive crankcase pressure causing the turbo to burn oil. If you go back to NA for awhile until you build it, other than a loss in power, you most likely wont even notice it. As for pulling the head with the motor in the car, I think one person managed to do it, but it was way more trouble than it was worth due to the timing chain cover bolts hitting the frame.
