Default Pocket Dyno?!

Apple names an app for you iphone that allows you to use the i-phones built- in accelerometer to measure drag racing preformance of your vehicle.

*Real- time G's , speed , and distance
* 0 to 60
* Estimated wheel horsepower
* Reaction time with simulated drag tree
* Eighth mile
* Quarter Mile
* Horsepower Chart
and a few others..

according to reviews of the product.. someone rand a 12.83 at the track @ 109 mph and then using the app, it said he ran a 12.85 @ 109 mph

Thats pretty accurate in my opinion.. Has anyone tried this?

My buddy has it on his phone and well be testing it later this week if anyones interested. Ill be posting results from it ha.

yeah it has to be mounted... you cant just place it on your seat or in a cup holder and expect it to come up with valid numbers. trust me i tried all that stuff lol

it was pretty much spot on. once i had it mounted and set up correctly. it wasn't ever off by more then .1 but most of the time it was less then that.

if it was buried, i would have taken more than a few seconds to search and find threads relevant to it
