Default possibly make over 350hp safely on stock block

Hey guys, I have a radical idea as to how to make more than the commonly known rod fail HP (350).

Let's first beging with its not hp that bends/breaks rods its actually peak tq.

Now here's my logic, since most turbos on our cars drop tq after around 5250 my idea is.... Have boost progressively ramp up starting from where the tq drops off, thus giving you a flat torque graph and even more HP up to safely

I have a 60-1 running 295whp and 300 wtq, 11psi. My goal is to use a dual stage boost controller and run 11 psi till 5250 and then have my aem trigger the high boost to hopefully make close to 400 whp while still keeping tq down around 350 or lower. I will also be usuing meth to keep things cool, I hate heat soak.

Do you have access to E85? If so Id say you could make ~400whp however reliability would still be questionable. On pump gas/meth I wouldnt do it unless you really just want to see how far you can push the motor and are ready to build/repair if something goes wrong.

It can be done, but you will have to have a firm grip on tuning with a standalone ECU, a quality fuel AND a real good tune on your setup.

It can be done but is on the high side. DYNO,GAS, Tuning , and turbo will be the limiting factors you need to look at.

We just completed another tune today for a tc1 on our 57trim set-up making 340whp on pump gas and AEM FIC. These numbers are not far from your goals. On average E-85 can add 25-40whp over pump 93

We have dabbled in E85 somewhat, but unfortunately the closest corn station is about 30 miles from us. And not many of our customers are ready to make that jump. But have always been interested in offering that service.

To the OP, this is our most recent tune on a tc with a 57trim .82a/r turbo .

How long can the engine last at that power? Knowing that you have a good tune and you maintain the car?

We have tuned a handful of tC's at over 340whp on stock motor, all still kickin. E85, is a great detonation supressor, but it doesn't make the rods stronger! Stock tC motor tune is limited by motor strength, unlike say... an s2000. S2000 stock motor can handle over 600whp, where additional detonation supression is needed (race gas, e85, wmi). I still think water meth injection is the best way to go for overall use...

I agree its possibly but longevity is compromised.
