Default Post Install: Turbo-Mafia 3" Catback

Hello everyone!
I dont have too many posts, but I figured this was worth sharing because info is limited
Anyways here goes...

About a week ago I ordered a 3" Turbo-Mafia catback. No resonators, T1 Muffler.
My friendly UPS driver delivered it to me early this afternoon. Here is what came with the exhaust system:

And here are some pictures of the exhaust laid out on my deck. Welds look great, piping looks great, muffler looks fantastic

Then the installation began
I know turbo-mafia just came out with this exhaust, so I was expecting maybe a few fitment errors.. but I couldnt find any.. very excited about this
For anyone who installs their own exhaust (should be everyone) this thing fit great. No fitment problems, no leaks, everything lined up perfect and bolted up great. I even have an Invidia S-Pipe.
A unique system at the axle back but it works well and doesnt hang too low.
Here are 2 post install shots.

(dont let pics fool you.. doesnt sit too low and its centered great)

Tomorrow I will try to get some sound/video clips, and better pictures.. but my neighbors have had enough for one day.

For anyone who wants a sound comparison.. Find an evo with a 3" TBE using test pipe and its damn close.. an AMAZING sound.

And the most importaint part.. butt dyno.
I wasnt expecting TOO much from changing the diameter in my exhaust system, but I did notice turbo spool up being quicker, and definetly some more ponies.

Final conclusion: Buy it!

Looks REAL good. Can you take a pic and street level so we can see how the elbo is under the rear axle?
Also, what was the final price?

I was just planning on getting a 2.5 pipe to my Injen axle back, but that looks REAL nice!

I would highly suggest a bigger muffler than the injen for the turbo setup.

Question.... does any piping bump against the lilttle U shaped hook near the muffler and make an annoying sound?

yeah, but my down pipe and spipe are 2.5". Isn't there an issue going from a 2.5" s pipe to a larger 3" midpipe?
Or is it the other way around, where you don't want to go from a 3" s-pipe to a 2.5" midpipe?

Ah...I left the - out between turbo and mafia and it was just a bunch of youtube videos
But, DAMN! Only $350! And I can get 2.5 or 3"! And pick what muffler I want!

HOLY CRAP! That's awesome! I wish I would have gotten this instead of my Injen!
I gotta get me one of these as it's EXACTLY what I've been looking for!

Think it's possible to just get a muffler and get piping custom made to make it straight? I really hate the angled look. Looks like it's bent or something.

Its definetly possible if you are willing to go that far to avoid a slight angle in your exhaust. The axleback portion of the exhaust seems easily customizable.

Thats what I was thinking.. all the different exhausts I had and all the money I wasted.. from megan axleback, to injen axleback, to megan catback, and now this exhaust which I plan on keeping for a very long time.

Its the other way around, you DONT want to go bigger to smaller.. Its perfectly fine to go smaller to larger, like 2.5" S-Pipe to 3" Catback.

Also since you are turbo Meaty I noticed a very noticable increase in spool up time

Yeah, but how much power you putting down?
I mean, you don't really see the benefits of a 3" untill about 350hp or so, right? I'm gonna be there soon, but if I was planning 3", I would have opted for the 3" downpipe and spipe with my kit.

I really like the fact that I can go 2.5" all the way back with thier options.
